Great place to stay in Hamilton

Rose Arden bed and breakfast is a delightful retreat located high on a hill with a great view of Hamilton. It’s within walking distance to several good restaurants. Gwen, the gracious host, ensures a warm welcome and goes above and beyond to make guests feel at home. The house exudes charm with its cozy ambiance and elegant decor. Each morning, Gwen & Ken serves up a delicious spread that perfectly sets the tone for a day of exploration. They were also very helpful with suggestions on where to go and where to eat. Rose Arden is a true gem for those seeking comfort, hospitality, and a memorable stay.

This cute bed and breakfast is a gem. Gwen looked after me like family. Breakfast was incredible. And when I could not make breakfast she made me a packed lunch. Room was comfortable perfect. I will stay there again. Price was reasonable. Highly recommend. 5* plus

Gwen & Ken provided a wonderful restful stop on a very busy weekend. The view from their property was absolutely fantastic. The room was wonderful, bed so comfortable, and the glassed in common area was peaceful to sit in and enjoy the night view. Breakfast was so delicious with so many home made items that it will be sorely missed. Decor in the home was so charming with so many items made by them. Will definitely be the go to for any stay in the Hamilton area.

Our host was friendly and attentive and our room was clean and comfortable. Nice to have the ensuite bathroom and common area with beautiful view. Breakfast was amazing.

This cozy property is nicely situated over looking Burlington Bay. The host is friendly and very personable. We found her helpful and accommodating. The only thing that is a negative is there are many stairs going to the rooms. This is just the way the house is built but it may be an issue if there are problems climbing stairs if mobility is a factor.

Owner-Host Gwen was very welcoming. She made us feel completely at home.

This turn of the century home is set on a hilltop over looking the valley. The room was clean and comfortable with a full size claw foot tub. The hosts were friendly and breakfast was delicious. We will stay here again.

The breakfast is awesome; Gwen is a more than excellent host. They were repaving the road in front, which was inconvenient, but Gwen did all she could to make it as easy as possible. Gwen took care of everything we asked for; the view is great, and you can walk to many restaurants. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area.

It was a nice stay. Gwen is very pleasant and the view from the sun room is amazing. Be prepared to not sleep in as it is an old house and you can hear others clunking about. Also, bring your own shampoo etc. Our room did not have a standing shower, just a hand held attached to the tub, so if you have mobility issues, this could be a problem. Also, the cable TV freezes a lot so it is difficult to watch. The breakfast was nice and Gwen is VERY accommodating for food sensitivities. For $175 all in, we likely would not stay again, but it was pleasant enough.

The hosts Glenn and Ken were so warm and attentive in all areas of my stay. They were so helpful in navigating my way around the city and to secure transportation. Breakfast was so delicious while meeting my need to be gluten and dairy free. I literally was not hungry until dinner time! Slept wonderfully in a clean, cozy, comfortable room! Looking forward to staying here again when I return to Hamilton. Highly recommend Rose Arden B & B, especially single women travelers!

Gwen and Ken were so hospitable and accommodating. With a late arrival, they went out of their way to make sure that I was safe and had nothing to worry about. Truly grateful for my time there and would not think twice about going back when in Hamilton.

Perfect for waiting out the blizzard when I was due back to work the next morning. Everyone was kind and accommodating. They had a lunch ready for me!

Our stay at the Rose Arden bed-and-breakfast was exemplary. The owners went above and beyond to take care of us and satisfy our every need. They served wonderful, nutritious, gourmet breakfasts in their beautiful dining room. It felt like a five star restaurant. Their home is filled with beautiful art and ceramics that they have created themselves. It is a lovely, old home that is spotlessly clean and has a special sun room that overlooks the Escarpment. We would definitely recommend it to everyone.

The hosts are so nice, Gwen especially. I was stayed there for the BLACKPINK concert. They are friendly and make you feel at home! There are no elevators but that’s alright, it was great nevertheless. I highly it recommend for those on a budget and looking for a safe & quiet place. It’s by the mountains and the view was amazing. The room I had was way better than I expected it was organized, clean and comfortable.I definitely would come stay again if I’m around the area.

Its feels like you're in your own home.

Gwen went out of her way to accommodate me (plane delayed, arrived in the middle of the night). Room clean, tidy, comfortable. Breakfast outstanding. No complaints, only good things to say about this property. Will definitely look up on my next visit, and heartily recommend it to family and friends.
