What a fantastic hotel! The customer service was amazing, the room was clean and comfortable, and it's a very cool old building with unique architectural elements throughout. Highly recommended if you're staying in downtown Sacramento.

Had a fabulous wedding supper at Grange Restaurant; we stayed in a junior suite for the wedding night. The shower is a huge tub that one must either pole vault or "sit and spin" into; it had one of those useless glass half panels of glass so once you DO manage to safely get into the tub, you get water everywhere and are cold during your shower. The shower head is very, very high so best of luck if you're not planning to wash your hair. The bed was soft and the pillows were so high I had to use a throw pillow from the sofa. We also had a pretty big stain on the carpet in front of the armoire.
We reserved another suite for our wedding officiant; we used our credit card for this and gave instructions upon both reservation and check-in that we would be paying for this room. They made our guest provide a credit card number upon check-in and charged the suite to that card! We had to reverse the charge, put it on our card, and apologize to our minister.
This is a lovely, historic hotel and our reception at Grange Restaurant was fabulous, but the nearly $500/night suites were disappointing on many levels and the hotel blew it by charging our guest.
We also paid $49/night to park.

Super clean throughout the lobby/hallways, staff were really kind and helpful! The hotel room was super clean and cozy

The front desk staff were really helpful and proactive at anticipating our needs. For example, it was raining when we checked in, and the person assisting us offered unprompted for our travelers to borrow for our stay their umbrellas.

I was not given the room I reserved. I reserved a king size bed and was given a smaller bed in a disability access room. I called ahead earlier in the week for a late check in, but my room was still given to someone else. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

Amazing! Good location, walkable to lots of restaurants. The bar was nice & staff there/throughout the hotel were friendly, helpful, & accommodating. The bed was VERY comfortable. I'd definitely stay here again!

Parking in front of the hotel during check -in times is extremely difficult because there of the limited space in front of the hotel. Offering information on alternative parking locations before arrival would be very helpful.

I am incredibly disappointed with my stay here. The room was just fine, front desk staff was pleasant… but my rental car was significantly damaged by the valet, and of course they didn’t say a word about it. I expected a more ethical response from an establishment of this caliber, especially for a service I paid a reasonable amount for. Very frustrating.

Love the way this hotel was re-done, it was beautiful! Great location, comfy bed, large bathroom AND they offered champagne on check in!! Looking for a reason to come back!

Room was across the street from a park populated by homeless people who played very loud music from 2:00AM to 4:30AM. No hot water, tepid at best. They charge $10 for internet access. Because of the hot water issue, they did comp us the $50 parking fee.

Nice building and nice room. But the night clubs/ poeple outside were so loud we had problems sleeping all night. Heard a few fights break out, numerous loud cars showing off and just people screaming. Made for a very restless stay. Could stay here again a risk not sleeping again

Beautiful historic hotel. I had a corner room, which was quite large. Minimal counter space in the bathroom and not a good place to put an open suitcase. VERY loud on Saturday night. Could hear vehicles and people until about 2 AM.
Had breakfast at the hotel restaurant. It was good, but very limited options and a bit pricey (like most hotel restaurants).
Coffee and water in the lobby during the morning. Free water bottle and glass of Prosecco at check in.
Not an area I would want to walk around in.
Directly across the street from a park. Many homeless.

It is a historic property. The lobby and first floor rooms have been beautifully restored. It is in an area of downtown that needs attention from the city, however, it is walkable to the State Capitol and nice neighborhoods.

The hotel itself was beautiful, very clean and the staff was very helpful. Our room had a good view of the city, and was easy to navigate. Valet parking was a plus for me. Over all great hotel and great people.

The hotel and staff is amazing, The food superb at the Grange- The only drawback to the hotel is the drag racing at nightclub music outside which kept us up all night till 3:30 in the morning. There's not much Hotel can do about that other than call the police.

We loved the decor, valet and desk service were so sweet. We were excited about dining and the bar however we went to the bar and were initially acknowldged, then the menu was removed from in front of us. Nobody ever offered to take our drink order and it felt like staff were purposely not acknowledging us even though we sat directly at the bar with several staff walking past us. I am not sure if we were underdressed or what the reasoning was. We went downstairs to the bar at 11:15 since we were told it was open until midnight. We ended up leaving and checked out early the next morning since we no longer wanted to have brunch at the hotel. This was a truly embarrassing experience.

The hotel was great, however we DID NOT adventure outside the hotel after sundown. There are a lot of homeless and a lot of noise throughout the night from the streets below. I booked a queen size room but at the time of arrival I was upgraded to a king suite. It was a nice little surprise at check-in. If I ever come back to Sacramento, I would likely stay here again.
