Swimming pools everywhere, direct access to a quiet beach, excellent food, rooms, service. Tennis courts. The staff were friendly. 5 minute drive into town if you have a car or €10 taxi. Great spa, ok gym. Regular live music some of which was really excellent. They know how to make a good cocktail too.

Hotel is for those to relax from the bustle and everyday problems. We stayed here second time. Hotel's personnel do their best to make guests feel themselves carelessly. Everything is calm and tranquility. There are not so many children here, and no animation. No beach volleyball and aqua aerobics. Only food, beach, pool and warm sea! In the evening live music in the bar near reception and in fact no more entertainment. On the territory there is a small shop, a spa, two restorants and two bars. The main restaurant is big with a wide choice of food, everything is beautifully decorated however taste was disapointing (last year is was better). Friendly staff, wonderful beach and the sea! And as a matter of fact, what else is needed?! It was very pleasant to be recognized as the loyal guests and to receive nice compliment from the hotel for this loyalty. Rooms are clean, spacious and super comfortable with excellent sew view. The only thing that is not clear why the hotel saves on water treatment - in the restaurant you drink tea and coffee made on a salty water which is very much the same as a salty tap water there (although they say tap water is not drinkable)! If you have any unpleasant experience (we had one with a spa salon) the hotel management is able to work it out in respectful way and make an apology. We liked very much that this year besides Kardemena buses they had an additional public bus rout directly to Kos which was very convinient! Thank you all the team!!!

This was our second stay there (formerly it was a Double Tree by Hilton) and everything turned out better then expected. Very friendly staff , clean , modern property, great food and a shared pool near the patio. Due to our loyalty we were invited for diner from Hotel GM which was very nice. We will be back.

If you are a couple that just want to rest and enjoy your vacation this is the right place for you a romantic hotel with amazing views thank you Do your self a favor and take the room with the shred pool and the view incredible

We stayed in a superior shared pool room which was amazing !! Room 501 had the biggest pool which we stayed in highly recommend . Staff lovely , weather lovely but kardamena town really quiet and a bit run down . Town not within walking distance (taxi €10 each way or €1.80 on bus ) No entertainment in hotel so quite boring at night .

Amazing hotel, excellent location 5 minutes drive from Karkamanda, the hotel is close to a beautiful sea beach, the hotel staff is welcoming, excellent breakfast, I booked a room with an adjacent pool and it was very good for children. I plan to return to the hotel next year as well.

I stayed here with my boyfriend w/c 26th June for a week, the whole week was faultless, from checking in right through to checking out.We stayed in a double deluxe room in the quiet part of the hotel (Room 206) it was spacious, clean and bright, we had our towels changed and room cleaned everyday. Thank you to the cleaners/maids.We chose to stay B&B, morning breakfast from 7am - 10am was in the main resturuant with some fantastic views, if you wanted to sit on the terrace then yes you may needed to wait a while for a table but this was never a long wait, there were more than enough tables/space inside which was fully air cond, breakfast was good, had ample selection and catered for everyone, food was replenished quickly and as often as needed. The only negative I have is that the hot food was never hot enough, luke warm, by the time you got back to your table, it was pretty much cold.We chose to try the food in the main resturuant on our first evening at a cost of 22EUR pp, this was a buffett style and again had ample selection but was luke warm/verging on cold. For the rest of our stay, we went into Kardemena town for dinner, there is a local bus stop at the bottom of the road and at a cost of 1.80EUR each way can get you there in 10-15 mins.. Good tip if you want to save the 10EUR each way in a taxiKardemena town is lovely, small, beautiful and quaint, lots of tiny family run shops for presents, local bars and plenty of fantastic resturuants, we tried somewhere

We stayed in the villa for 3 weeks for my mother's 80th birthday celebration. It was wonderful! I had been to the hotel 4 years earlier. The staff is incredibly accommodating and helpful, modest, kind, and friendly. The help and respect that they showed my mother, especially Yiannis, Fotis, Stavros, and forgive me for not remembering all the drivers names but they were all wonderful to us. Also in the spa, Ivanna was amazing and the front desk especially Maria, Jionnas, and quality manager Maria as well. Anything we needed, they were there. The cleaning staff also, really good to us. Always clean towels, friendly, helpful, as well as the pool staff, and Ercay. The dinner staff as well, both in a la Carte and at the buffet, were exceptionally lovely to my mother. I couldn't have asked for more. Now, Because I love the hotel so much and want to come back, I want to suggest some improvements. Private pool villa: Room notes: Private pool not so private!! Open to main area and trees not so think in corner (children came onto our patio one day and tried to come inside.) The wall by pool also has 3 squares cut into it. If you want to sunbathe nude in privacy, you cannot. In the villa, it would be great to have a larger size refrigerator, in kitchen. It is very much needed. There were too many small ants. Patio curtains make TERRIBLE screeching noise in the wind!! Washing machine, dishwashing soap, a wall clock, door stopper missing... small details but would be great!

Stayed only for 5 days but looking back at it, we should have stayed longer. Overall a really good place to enjoy a relaxed and elegant holiday

This is our second time at Helona. The relaxation sets in the minute you reach the reception. Care and smiling faces inject happiness even in the most stressed souls. Eventhough it was full, you dont feel the crowd because of the many pools and big beach. Food is perfect,dont even think of eating anywhere else.

On arrival we noticed it was not a hilton hotel as we booked on hotels.com. It is just helona hotel a discontinued hilton hotel. The hotel was great and all. When we checked in the asked for are credit card as all hotels. We pre paid are hotel from hotels.com. So when check out was time we left the hotel to catch a flight. The hotel called are cab back for a 18 euro bill that was at the pool bar. We were really upset about this almost missing a flight. For info they had taken on are credit card that like every hotel charges when u leave as most ppl do. That's why they hold a deposit and take the info for a reason.

As a family of adults, we enjoyed our stay and intend to return. The rooms are great, food at hotel is best. Do not eat elsewhere. Antonio at the thalyssa restaurant is a dear. Night receptionist, george is extremely helpful and warm. Typical greek. all staff are welcoming, from bellboys, to managers, to waiters to beach towels guy. Clean sandy beach, inviting waters even for the most lazy. Nearby hotels offer perfect football, beach volley for youngsters. Tennis at hotel.

The "infinity" pools everywhere make this resort look spectacular. Service is great. The resort is quite isolated with a mediocre beach but lots of wind and a great windsurfing/sailing centre nearby. You might get bored though if you're not into lounging, swimming or watersports. Day trip to the vulcano island with a nice authentic village is highly recommended, "exploring" the island not so much. I wished wifi would work beyond the reception and main pool area.
