A BIG compliment to Ethan who quickly solved a room issue (broken bathroom door, carpet, noise) very efficiently and quickly. Our room was very clean and comfortable and quiet. Places to eat were within walking distance. The hotel breakfast was good and a lot of choices. Overall a nice stay during a long road trip.

The stay at the hotel was fine but dealing with Hotels.com was a miserable experience. We had booked 2 rooms for one night and when we arrived at the hotel, we were told that Hotels.com only booked us one room yet our confirmation email showed 2 rooms.

The pullout bed was awful. We had to put the mattress on the floor for our child to sleep on, with additional padding. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

We love Marriott! This hotel is the best yet! It is like brand new. The pool is crystal clear. The towels are thick and big enough to go around you. Love it

Arrived after check in. Guy at the front desk kept leaving saying her was sorry. After about 20 minutes I asked if there was a problem and he said they were short staffed cleaning up rooms. Told him we’d come back after dinner so we didn’t end up with a half assed clean room.
Got checked into find hair still stuck to the bathroom wall. The fold out bed that was to be used for one of my sons was terrible. He said it was like sleeping on a chain link fence. Thank God it was only 1 night! We were safe and had a air conditioned room to sleep in so there’s that.

Rooms clean restroom super grouse smells like some one did the restroom all over the restroom and didnt got clean for weeks.

The first room that we were given was a king room. When we entered we could hear the wind blowing through and then upon further inspection not only wind but dust from the outside was coming in as well. When we went to discuss this with the front desk they implied that there weren’t any rooms available at the rate we paid since booked through Expedia. I politely reminded them that this was not our fault but an issue they needed to resolve. They did provide us with a new room which was a double queen room which was fine with us. The room was standard and nothing impressive. The shower had seen better days and had a clear fixed crack running down the side of it. The AC also leaked considerably and we had to keep towels down stp try to soak up some of the water. While we got this for a steal I would not recommend this property.

This is a vey nice hotel. Breakfast room was large to accomodate many and breakfast was good. One piece of advise...ask for a room that is not on street side. The police in Carlsbad need to patrol that road better for fast and loud vehicles.

This hotel was okay, but not what we're accustomed to with Fairfield Inn. The breakfast was pretty good and the room was comfortable. However, the TV remote didn't work properly, the clean up in the dining area was only done when the assigned staff member was on duty. Otherwise, a mess on the floor would remain until the following day. If you need a Walmart or IHOP restaurant, they're within walking distance. Otherwise, the area only provides dust and construction work. Nevertheless, the motel met our needs for a couple of days.

The hotel staff were all amazing, accommodating our change of plans and providing us with prompt service when our tv remote stopped working. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable.The breakfast area was clean and well stocked with a good variety of foods. The only negative thing is about Carlsbad, not the hotel - there are basically no restaurants in the town except for chain fast food. The inclusion of a microwave and fridge in the hotel room was incredibly helpful as we bought some prepared food from the grocery store and could then make our own meals (sort of :).

The window seal was broken making the outside come in and with being on a busy street and a front facing room we heard all the traffic. The outlets were worn out and would not hold a plug. Breakfast was above average. Staff was pleasant, greeting us as we came in and as we left.
