The room, bed, hot water pressure, food and location on CMC road were great. Internet was good on ground floor in all common areas (restaurant, bar, lounges) but less strong in the room. Tastefully decorated, good service. For foreigners, the pizza is a hit!

The Hotel location is perfect for my requirements for business in this area. The rooms are comfortable, linen and towels are fresh and bathrooms are clean. Staff very friendly and will go the extra mile to accommodate requests and are very helpful. I recommend Solo Te Hotel for business - this is my second stay here and I have just extended my stay for another week in this Hotel. They make great coffee, there is a gym, food is good, rooms are clean. I feel that I finally found a hotel in Addis Ababa that I will return to for future business travel without any hesitation and I can honestly recommend to business people who do business in this area.

A little far from the UN, but it was okay.

my stay was the worst between all of my stays in my life. It started with the problems of tv, hot water, water leakage in the presidential suit! And then they took me to the executive suit which had problems in tv, safe , and some insects in the living room and toilet. I asked for iron and they gave staneful iron which put dirt on my shirt. I dont recommend this hotel to anyone.

And, we had shuttle service to and from the airport which was a nice surprise, because friends from Addis were unfamiliar with this area. It really is not that far from the airport, just over 3 miles. We thought the beds were nice and firm and the neighborhood was quiet. The hotel seemed very secure too.

This is a refreshing option in Addis. We saw a couple of hotels in the area, and Solo Te was by far the best value. The room was spotless, the bathroom was up to western standards and the amenities were great. The restaurant serves excellent, diverse food at a good price. The bar is stocked and open late. The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. We met the manager as well and he was extremely accommodating - even joining us for a meal and then comping it! The only potential knock is the location, although taxis are almost always necessary in the city anyway and they are happy to call one for you. We also received a free shuttle to the airport upon departure. Highly recommend this excellent new hotel.

My stay at Ethiopia was beautiful but the motel was not up to average the interior of my room was falling apart so I wont be going back there again.

I was very pleased with my stay at the Solo Te Hotel. The staff was very welcoming and the lobby was well decorated. I never had a problem getting transportation and the hotel had a shuttle to the airport. My room was very clean and comfortable with adequate wifi. Also, they served a delicious breakfast each morning. No complaints, I would stay there again.

They attended to all my needs with urgency and professionalism. Their aim was to ensure I had a comfortable stay.

I had a great experience with this hotel. They sent the shuttle to the airport and the drivers were very safe even though there was a lot of traffic. The hotel is pretty close to the airport, but not very close to the tourist attractions, however this wasn't an issue for me as they called a cab that could take me anywhere on an hourly rate. The water was nice and warm (not a given in Ethiopia), the room was very clean and the bed was comfy. I was also able to get a very cheap (~$8) massage that was well worth the money. Also, the food I had in the hotel (dinner and breakfast) was very nice and reasonably priced. The only real con is location, and if I had to be picky, there weren't many decorations in the room.

Clean room and good staff. Furniture in the room are bit damaged. Located bit far from the city limit. Due to proper transporation limitation in Ethiopia need time to learn how to move around.

Stayed June 2013. I paid my stay in advance so to avoid any last minute surprises and arranged for the hotel’s airport pick-up service as the taxis at the Airport do charge extremely high fees. I usually do take these precautions whenever I travel in emerging countries such as Ethiopia. First technical hitch, the driver forgot his pass to enter the passenger arrival area so he couldn’t pick me up. After numerous phone calls and nearly 2hrs wait I organised my own transport to the hotel. Arrived at the hotel, received endless apologies from the courteous and extremely friendly management staff. Walked into my room and apparently my room the night before was used by a couple in their honeymoon and they forgot to change the sheets. Ooops! Traces of a newlywed couple's first night passion was all over the place. Despite the above the Hotel’s standard are well above the Ethiopian average ordinary hotels. The room was clean and the facilities like shower, internet access are good. The buffet breakfast can be improved but in line with the budget and price you pay to stay. The location itself is a bit of a handicap from the transportation point of view. Their prices for beer, coffee or food are generally double or more than the average price you would pay in and around Addis. Generally, whenever possible, it is advisable to pay in local currency (Birr) as otherwise you may end up paying the "ferenji" price: more than double.

I enjoyed my stay at Solo Te Hotel. it is located near the airport and it is easy to reach parts of the city using taxi services.

A nice place in a very nice country. The hotel is a little way outside of central Addis but everything else more than makes up for it.
