We visited the DR to attend a wedding at a resort. My boyfriend and I didn’t want to visit a foreign country we had never seen, and spend the entire time on a resort, sheltered from the community.
The Manaya could not have been the more perfect solution. Not only is it a beautifully kept property run by lovely people, it is in a safe feeling neighborhood close to plenty of shops and restaurants. And, of course you cannot beat the price. Our room at the Manaya was air conditioned and the wifi worked great. The staff at the Manaya were very helpful and patient with us as we practiced speaking and understanding Spanish. Google Translate became a huge help to us.
We were concerned about transportation to and from wedding events prior to our arrival, but we were informed that Uber was available…and it was VERY affordable and reliable.
Each morning the staff offers a lovely breakfast with 3 options that are tasty, and the breakfast area has a really nice vibe.
I could go on and on about how great this place is. We could not have been more happy with our stay here in the DR.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Punta Cana who wants a quiet, clean, safe stay in an area where you can get to know the culture and feel right at home!

The location was very difficult to find, the Hotel hid in the middle of a neighborhood. No sign posted at the street to indicate there a Hotel. After all, the Staffs were very nice and helpful. The other thing I feel missing is a Clock in the Hotel’s room.

Our flight was delayed and we needed somewhere to stay. Very affordable for the piece and we had a huge apartment. Only cons were the refrigerator did not work, one of the windows didn’t lock as we were women so I wanted to be safe. And I wish the breakfast was indoors. We sat down to eat but it was sooo many bugs even inside the sugar canister so we did not eat there. Good place considering.

Manaya is an excellent hotel to stay. It is within walking distance to restaurants and large supermarket. It is located in a subdivision that seems safe enough. Owners are extremely accommodating. This wasn'ty first stay. Uber to the airport for a reasonable price. The bus from SD drops you off within walking distance if you don't carry much luggage. Margaritas to the beach or Uber. They helped with a late checkout. Pool is nice. Quiet, comfy and safe

An incredible place, I can't rate the surroundings, was only 1 night due to airport transfer and came from a business week. The garden is as wonderful and powerful as I have rarely experienced an never expected for "bed&breakfast"

Lot of kids noise from school nearby. Dog barking throughout the day.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel! It's a very quiet and private place, the pool area is like a beautiful oasis! We would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Even though I could not speak Spanish, the proprietor and staff, Isabel, was patient, helpful and amazing to me.
I only wish I had been told sooner about the convenience store close by, I could have saved myself a lot more money.
I also wish I had been told that I could get an affordable mobile internet device from the Claro phone company from day one, it would have made it a lot easier to navigate my stay there and to visit all the places I wanted to visit in Punta Cana.
In all, I enjoyed my stay there and I will be coming back to stay there when I return.

It was hard to communicate with the staff. Not well equipped for handicapped as some rooms had stairs to the rooms.

A very beautiful quiet area. We enjoyed our stay at this small bed and breakfast.

Totally charming B& B. Very clean, pretty, safe, yummy breakfast with great coffee and an excellent jumping off point for clubs in Punta Cana. Will DEFINITELY go there again.

We stayed overnight here the night before we had to catch a plane, and it was perfect. It feels like an oasis in the middle of an otherwise tourist town. Our room was clean and comfortable, the grounds and pool were quaint and inviting, and the free breakfas was delicious! I felt safe with my two young sons and we definitely plan to return.
