Best hotel staff ever! We loved, loved, loved our stay at the Katari Hotel in Arequipa. The staff at the hotel are some of the friendliest and fun people we have ever met. They made our time in Arequipa so memorable. Flora, Shamira, and Edison made our mornings bright and sunny with their hospitality and yummy breakfasts. And what a view from the rooftop terrace of the surrounding volcanoes! What a way to start and end the day. Wow! We were even serenaded for my partner's birthday with cake and candles. Thank you, Katari Arequipa, staff for the best time in Peru!

It was ok…. The room was too warm as bd no air conditioning and we need to ask for a portable fan even though it was a fan in the ceiling. Bathroom too small.

We loved our six night stay at Katari. The rooms were comfortable with traditional furniture and lovely linens. The location on the Plaza de Armas can’t be beat. The views from the rooftop restaurant and bar are spectacular at all times of the day, but especially at sunset, with the lights on the cathedral coming up and the sun turning the snow capped volcanoes pink. The only thing better are the staff, so kind, warm and responsive. Highly, highly recommend this place!

Our room and bathroom was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The staff was attentive of our needs throughout our whole stay

The hotel was everything we expected it to be. I liked the water filter in the bathroom so we could refill our bottles. When you stay here check out the bottom of the breakfast menu for the chef recommendations.

Beautiful rooms in the presidential suite and so nice to have a bath tub! Was disappointed we had to carch an early flight and miss breakfast on the rooftop nor was able to get a breakfast to go …

Hi, we had a presidential suite which was big and view of plaza de armas and glimpse of misti mountain...other family in a double which again was good size....staff helpful...we enjoyed breakfast and drinks on the roof top...the restaurant had very good food for snacks and dinner...some of the best traditional arequipean dishes we tried....hotel is good location to plaza tours restaurants markets and shopping. Only negative with location is that as the plaza is the centre so can be noisy.

I stayed there twice on my trip and it was fantastic. The location is absolutely perfect on the Plaza de Armas and the views from the rooftop are breathtaking. The room lacked AC but had a ceiling fan so it was still comfortable. Great shower in the bathroom and everything was nicely appointed. Staff was great and very professional. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is as central located as could be right on the Plaza del Armas with a fantastic view from our room. The rooftop restaurant is serving as the breakfast place. This is super relaxing with the view of three Volcanos, breathtaking. Being in the center and within walking distance from Arequipa’s best restaurants is fantastic. The staff is very helpful and friendly and has given us great advice on restaurants and support with our excursions.

Great stay. The hotel has an incredible architecture and a very respectful design. It makes you notice that you are staying in a truly unique place full of history. Staff was great. Breakfast was superb and the view from the rooftop was beyond words. The only downside: we stayed in a room with an window looking over an internal stair and there was not much ventilation so the room has an odd smell. Cleaning could be better. We found some hairs on the floor and in the bathroom the second we arrive

Very nice staff at check in, beautiful rooftop for lunch and drinks. Spacious room with very nice bed. It is located in the main plaza, near everything in Arequipa center.

Staff is friendly and helpful. We checked out at 3am for an overnight trek and they not only had a to-go breakfast ready for us but they stored our luggages and had already stored them in our room when we checked back in the following night. The hotel’s location is ideal. The rooftop bar was beautiful and the VIP free drinks were a great perk. The rooms are nicely decorated and well equipped with mini fridge, water filter, and percolator. Highly recommend!

This place is super friendly… There’s a few flaws, but it wouldn’t stop me from coming back… excellent location in the middle of the plaza…looking straight at the Church..

This hotel was amazing. It was super clean and the beds comfy. Nice hot shower. Service was exceptional. Breakfast is included and on the beautiful terrace. The location can’t be beat!

Amazing location, phenomenal rooftop terrace/bar, and incredibly clean

Perfect location in La Plaza de Armas. Close to shopping, restaurants, Monastary de Santa Catalina and the Cathedral. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooftop restaurant with amazing views of the city. A bit cold at night so bring heavy jacket. No heat lamps. Beds very comfortable. Robes, slippers, safe and electric kettle in room for tea available. Rooms did not have AC or heat but did have a ceiling fan. A bit noisy on 3rd floor. No bottled water in rooms or wash cloths. Rooms could use better lighting. Overall a good experience and would recommend primarily due to location, rooftop restaurant and affordability.

My fiancé and I had a very nice experience at this property. Perfectly located in the heart of the city, with a nice roof top terrace for breakfast or drinks at sunset. This hotel is in good condition and keeps an original style… What I appreciate the most was the outstanding service of the employees. Thank you! … Definitely a place to return.

Wonderful historical building, breathtaking views facing the cathedral in the main square and the volcanoes. The breakfast on the rooftop terrace was excellent, the staff was very friendly and attentive. We will highly recommend this hotel.
