This is an old building with very basic set up so adjust your expectation accordingly. The location is superb to get around central Bergen. I stayed over a week and was comfortable. Think of it kind of like indoor camping. Very basic set up. I liked the lock box for storing my keys when going out. The stairs are quite steep for the "penthouse" and requires good balance on the top small step when unlocking/locking your door. Lighting is poor so so bring a small clip light for a book if you read. I loved the outdoor deck. The furniture was terrible though. Old tired metal table and one chair was completely broke when I got there. Nevertheless a good place to sip coffee in the morning. Oven did not work but managed. The worse thing was the shower. Much of the tile was coming up off the floor and kind of gross. I probably wouldn't stay here again unless it was the only place or price was incredibly reasonable

In was an enjoyable stay and the apartment was fine.

Very interesting little apartment. About 25 min walk from train station. A bit of up hill with luggage. We opted for a taxi. Certainly well equipped with all you require for short or long stays. We loved the experience.

Horrible! first thing on arrival we noticed a peeping tom hole in the door to our room ("romantic suite"), whole room cheap and bodged. but what topped it all: bathroom and toilet in the kitchen accompanied by a horrid sewage smell. combination lock on entrancedoor faulty. result: we were locked out for 2 hrs.in pouring rain. owner very unhelpful. finally sent a handywoman and a handyman, offered to pay us a dinner as compensation but never did. by the way: no TV. only positives: Wifi was working and location great. we think we should at least get 50% refunded as that room doesn't meet any building regs esp.for accomodating guests. took lots of photos as proof.
