I had to switch room 3 times. In the first one safe was missing. In the second there was something on the bathroom ceiling looking like mold and causing me respiratory issues as soon as I entered the room. The third room was ok, but shower curtain didn't cover all length of bathtub, and water was leaking on the floor. Also they do repairs all night long, move furniture. One night I couldn't sleep at all because of sounds. Breakfast hours can be cut any day if dining area is reserved for a party. Very strange hotel.

Probably the rudest staff experience I’ve had in a hotel. Basic amenities but clean and quiet part of town. They make you pay cash so possibly illegal.

Aside from one helpful employee, all others I dealt with were indifferent and uninterested.
Whilst, for the cost I didn't expect 5 star, there were far too shortcomings in the facilities.

Peobably a 2 star rather than 3 star hotel. You get what you paid for i guess. The pipes in the toilet leaked a bit, the air conditioning turns on when the plug is inserted (frayed plug) but remote control does not work. Musty smell from the cupboard. Woemrn carpets. Very near to Kok Tobe gondola station and there are some eating options nearby too.

We stayed at Alma for 1 week and were pleased with everything. The hotel is very clean, the staff is accommodating, location is fantastic - central to everything, breakfast is delicious. We will definitely stay here again if an opportunity arises.

My mother stayed at this hotel for about 2 weeks. I am very grateful to all the employees for going above and beyond to help her. Great place and convenient location.

I arrived the airport at 1am and had been told there would be an airport shuttle. There was not. I messaged the hotel by chat and got no reply. I stayed somewhere else.

Due to construction, the Resturant was not working. Breakfast was ok.

it’s a decent place. Decent breakfast, rooms are decent comfy. The location is great. Near few restaurants and convenient stores and places to visit and see. Overall I enjoyed my time. I stayed there for 5 night. It was great. I recommend to all.

One receptionist were rude and World not give me proof/number when I delivered my luggage some hours before check in and another one could not help me checking a local tour company because he did not speak any English. They had an advertisement from the tour company in the room and on the front desk in the reception but the staff on the hotel didn’t know anything about the company.

The hotel was perfect. the receptionist speak english and help us get a taxi to everywhere we. Without the hotel, taxi drivers will collect huge money from you. the hotel really help a lot. The rooms are a bit small but ok for travel purpose. Breakfast is also great.

Hotel Alma is located in a fairly quiet area of the city, but convenient to the Kok tobe park (and cable car), universities, and the Almaty Metro. The people at the front desk and restaurants were open, warm and friendly. Breakfast is quite good. The GoodBeef Steakhouse (on the top floor) serves decent food with a varied menu. The room, although very clean, was a bit dated (especially carpet and bedding).

Good location, 3 min.from Kok Tobe gondola station,15 min walk to Independence Sq.5 min.to Abay metro st. Friendly and helpful staff, breakfast really rich&tasty.
Rooms are ok, but hotel have new renovated (better)part and older one, where rooms are a bit tired.AC, wi fi, fridge,but lack of reading lamps in the room. GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY.
