Room was comfortable. However, floorboards creaked with every step. Bed also very noisy with every movement. On-site parking is very limited. App required to pay for street parking not compatible with American cell phone. Parking ticket machines no longer accepts coins or cards. Hotel desk clerk did not appear very happy to assist guests, or maybe just us. Breakfast was very good.

I had an experience with good service. Maybe a downside if your an American used to AC is that the room did not have AC, they provided a fan.

The Hostellerie du Grünewald is beautiful, cozy and convenient hotel. We love the ambiance and location too. The bar is amazing with excellent service.

It was an excellent accommodation. The receptionist is one of the best I have ever met. Room was large, comfortable and clean, kitchen was better even than my own :)

This hotel is a hidden gem. The room we got was a suite that was roomy and relaxing with a kitchen and small dining table. There were so many little details including a lovely view of a garden. We were pleasantly surprised after so many mediocre hotels on this trip.

All was good. The reception was friendly and helpful. They offered breakfast if I wanted, parking on the street was confirmed to be free of charge till 8am. The room was comfortable with all I needed. It was quite and I slept well.

A one night stay over on NYE the hotel was welcoming and very comfortable.
The layout of my room was unusual to say the least with an open plan ensuite with no door on the toilet! As I was travelling alone it wasn't a problem but it wouldn't suit everyone
The bed was the most comfortable that I've ever slept on & the breakfast was very good.

The room is just beautifully decorated/arranged and has everything you need and even more.The breakfast is excellent with organic and home made products. The terrace/garden is a lovely place where to have a drink and relax..The personnel is fantastic and really helpful.

our experience overall was very positive. I had booked family room and it was very spacious. Rooms are modern and plenty of amenities, although property does not have air-conditioned rooms. they do provide fans in the units, but not centralized air condition. breakfast was wonderful, although service was very slow since the employee was responsible to run breakfast service and also the front desk. also property is not exactly near city center, but there is a bus and train stop nearby and both are very convenient. Overall I do recommend this place and if we are in the area again, I will stay there.

All good value. Management needs to sort out the Eggs dilemma at breakfast. The eggs just wouldnt boil as the water was not hot enough and people would take your eggs even if the eggs were ready. Nice rooms. But the open toilet to the bed area is not for everybody.

Nice and clean hotel with friendly staff. City center is quite close.
However, there is no airconditioning. I had only a small noisy fan in my room, almost impossible to sleep because of the temperature.

Very spacious even for a family of four. Only 5 minutes from the center with easy access with a cab or a bus which is free in Luxembourg. We love The setting of the hotel, the backyard has a garden which is very relaxing. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially information about ourNext rip to Belgium the next day.Highly recommended!!!!

We stayed in Hostellerie du Grünewald for only one night, but it was wonderful. From the reception at 12:00 the first day, until our check-out 24 hours later. The design of the hotel and rooms is breathtaking. We loved the style. The staff is very correct and professional and willing to help with advise about the city and the area. The location is perfect, only a few minutes drive to the nearest parking of Luxembourg city. The only thing that we missed were a few smaller bites at the bar. Nevertheless, the restaurant has an inspiring menu with fresh ingredients and herbs from their own garden. And a small vineyard in the backyard of the hotel.

Hotel Grunewald has spacious rooms with modern furnishing. the bath room is very nice. main disadvantages of this hotel is the Airco that is not there. If you are there on hot days then be prepared to sleep with windows open (lot of noise). Also if you want to use the nice bath tub, please reserve some time because water is flowing not rapidly. The room is lacking a phone which means that if you want to contact the reception you need to walk downstairs. unfortunately, there is no elevator. the restaurant was closed on Monday and Tuesday, not sure if that is one of or standard. So nice to be at regular days, on hot days not recommended.
