Hotel is not within walkable distance from takayama city centre. But fine if you have your own car. Size of my room is comparable to any Japanese business hotel - APA, Super and you name it. But amenities are available. Onsen is available. Afterall, good for value.

The staff were very helpful and those that couldn't speak English quickly worked through any queries with Google Translate. Cleaning staff would not take tips (good to see that not everywhere is focussed only on money) Very friendly - will stay there again.

Our stay at Tabino hotel was wonderful. Friendliest staff and they had an onsen. It is situated about 10 minute Drive from the station and they provide hourly transportation to/from. We stayed 1 night which was great to unwind- use the Onsen and enjoy the folk village & downtown area. Tabino was a perfect option for us!

Property is acceptable but far from shops, restaurants and train station. However regular bus shuttle is provided and from a satellite shop.

Room is too small. So small that I cannot fully open my luggage bag.

Excellent breakfast. Room is not spare space and not very comfortable when I wanted relaxing time out of the bed.

Front office staff is very helpful. Room and onsen are acceptable. Location of the hotel is off the main tourist area and the hotel provide free shuttle bus to supplement this key disadvantage. However, the bus schedule is not frequent and the drop off/pick up locations are limited. Most disgustingly, I witness the shuttle bus driver spit out of the window when driving.

Brand new, very comfortable with the onsen for every night and good in English , Mandarin speaking of need. Nice comfortable to stay. Convenience with family market just right opposite and convenience to go to the centre of the Takayama. Excellent

The hotel is new with hot spring, but the room is very small, you can hardly open your luggage, and the bed is quite hard.

The hotel is good with separated hotspring. It provides yukata of your choice. The location is slightly out of town, but they provide shuttle bus; i wish i know about the shuttle bus before reaching the hotel.

I like the hotel because is new n very clean. Most importantly free parking.

Room was small but it normal for Japanese room in this price. Staff were very helpful . You can use onsen no charge .The onsen had indoor and out door both were clean and comfortable.

Very good option to stay for a couple of days in Takayama: the hotel is recent, hence a very nice level of comfort and although the rooms as expected not gigantic, they are well equipped, with a full bathroom, clean and functional. The “ofuro” is also quite nice, with indoor and a small outdoor bath overlooking the river. A shuttle brings you to and from Takayama station every hour: very convenient even if you have a car, as parking can be an issue. And you can enjoy fully excellent food and drinks downtown... If you don’t indulge yourself with some beautiful ryokans while in Takayama, the Tabino is a quite attractive option. PS: laundry machines available in the hotel: keep you off the burden of finding a launderette....

It has onsite free parking and helpful staff who tries his best to accommodate my request, thanks a lot. The property is not in or around city center of Takayama but not an issue if you drive. Good breakfast.
