Overall, the ZIN Canggu hotel is a disappointment. The hotel is overpriced considering its condition and offers a mediocre experience. Upon arrival, the welcome experience was underwhelming as the staff did not accommodate my request for a later breakfast time, even though I needed to surf early in the morning.
Although the pictures of the hotel appear inviting, the reality is quite different. The hotel shows signs of aging, with stained towels and a lack of power outlets near the bed, although there is a reading light. The closet is difficult to access, adding to the inconvenience. Additionally, the spa is located near a sticky river, which takes away from the relaxation experience. During my complimentary 30-minute massage, the staff skipped the feet washing process, resulting in an uncomfortable sensation as they rubbed my feet before my legs.
Furthermore, the mini fridge in the room looks outdated and reminiscent of the 80s.
On a positive note, the hotel manager, Didik, was friendly and accommodating. He extended the breakfast time and allowed for a later check-out, which I greatly appreciated. However, even with the extended breakfast time, the breakfast itself was lackluster and did not meet expectations.
In conclusion, the ZIN Canggu hotel does not live up to its advertised image. The hotel is overpriced for its condition, with underwhelming amenities and average service.

An oasis tucked away in Canggu, towards Nelayan beach. I extended my stay from two weeks to three. Loved the food, staff, and spa. Recommended.

Huge room, very clean, nice gardens. Spa treatment was good. Restaurant pretty good too. Nice that’s there’s multiple pools around the property.

The room was ready upon our return from an early arrival, and bags were already taken up. The rooms are a good size with a balcony overlooking the central pool.
There is a riverside pool as well which has more sun than the other, waiters came over to the table from the main restaurant but was a shame that the bar area there is clearly no longer used.
The restaurant at the hotel was really nice and chilled with the waiters/waitresses quick to take your order and help.
The in-house massage was excellent. We had the free 15 minute massage which was complimentary and then I had the massage and scrub which was wonderful.
The one major downside was the building work. During the day we were out so it wasn’t so bad but we were given a room which backed directly onto the building site. The building work started around 7/7.30 which meant we were woken up early and it did go on all day. I don’t think this was emphasised enough when the hotel was advertised and perhaps the rooms they back onto it directly shouldn’t be used

The hotel looks beautiful in pictures but is it worth the price. Absolutely not. The construction next to the hotel starts at 7am and goes on till pretty late. At night, be prepared for loud music. I didn't get much rest here. Bathroom stank of pee. Upon check in, no one informed me about the amenities/facilities. Some guests received a 15 min complimentary massage - I didn't. So not sure if that offer is only for some guests? Again, it's not a bad property but just not worth the price at all.

Fantastic staff, exceptional coffee and breakfast included with our room in the cafe, beautiful room. Very happy with ZIN would highly recommend. (FYI, only complaint we could not get a hold of them by phone, if you need to contact the front desk try the WhatsApp number)

The hotel looks nice in the pictures, however the rooms are worn down and there’s a night club next door. So if you stay at the zin, don’t expect to get any sleep before 03:00 am. Then the next door construction starts at 08:00..
We along with 3 other rooms asked for a refund because of the noice.

There was a large amount of construction works happening right next to our room. Noise was only during the day. The room and hotel was great other than that.

We loved having everything on site. Thoroughly enjoyed the pool, the spa, the bar, the restaurant and the convenient location. The staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay special. Even with construction happening nearby I would stay again.

Our stay was simply amazing. The staff was top notch, and on top of everything that we could have (and did) ask for. The beach is about 200’ down the road, and is on a quieter street. There is construction, but barely noticeable. There is also sound of clubs at night (You would bear the clubs if you stayed anywhere in Canggu) as some other reviewers mentioned, but if you close the doors, and turn on the AC, the sound just blends in to everything else and did not affect our sleep. The staff was so friendly and always with a smile on their face. I honestly don’t know how our stay could have been better. 10/10. Would absolutely stay again!

Lots of environmentally friendly initiatives (refillable water, shampoo/conditioner refillable bottles, able to rent containers/bottles etc). Stairs are pretty but not very practical. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Great place with a cool vibe. Lots of wood and nature looking lobby/ restaurant. Rooms were spacious. Beach in walking distance. Staff and the drivers they arranged were amazing. The restaurant is an awesome place to chill and have coffee / drinks during day

There's a yoga studio just opposite the hotel and the beach is 2 mins walk away. Location is nestled in a quiet lane in Canggu but not too far away from the cafes and hypes! Would definitely come back again for another stay. Can't wait for their spa and bamboo houses to be completed by July.

Wonderful little hotel with fabulous well-designed rooms around a well landscaped pretty pool, a great coffee shop (the most amazing breakfasts) in a good location. We could walk everywhere and loved the area.
The staff were charming, pro-active, helpful and friendly.
The only drawback (which we were warned about on checking) in was the noise from a nearby bar late at night. The hotel is very aware of this, and along with a group of other local businesses, have been in discussions to find a solution.
We would definitely recommend staying here once that has been resolved, or if you are likely to be out late yourself anyway!

Lovely new place well-located in Canggu. Staff was very friendly & breakfast was amazing!It's a rather small and intimate place with only a few rooms with large glass doors. It was very quiet at night compared to other hotels in the area.

Nice room in a hotel still being built. Close to the beach. Loved having our private pool. Some noise from nearby nightclubs so we were offered ear plugs which we didn’t need. Very helpful staff with prompt delivery to our next hotel of personal items left behind. Lovely to see no plastic bottles used for water.

Really beautiful hotel! We were there during their soft opening so value for money was amazing. They have a few villas and a ratio of 4 villas to each pool which is great if you just want to kick back and relax in the hotel! Staff was super friendly and very helpful.

New hotel with gorgeous decor and clean. Beautiful villa and private pool. Not done with construction so we look forward to come back when it is done. Windows are not totally sealed so we could hear people walking by and music from restaurant. Couple minute walk to the beach was the best. Grab a coffee and head down to check the surf. Will come back again.

One of the best places I’ve stayed in...
When we first got to the front of the hotel, it was a construction site and I started to get nervous because I got 2 rooms for my friends and I. And everyone started to look worried but then the staff came up to us and helped us to our villas, which was behind the construction site and OMG, it was sooo beautiful inside. I’m not sure if it says it when you book, but they’re still under construction and have a few villas available.
But I was soooo happy with our stay, my number one thing is there staff, wow, they went out of there way to really help us and provide the best customer service I’ve ever seen in Southeast Asia. They basically clean/service your room twice a day and at night they get the room ready for you to go to bed, which I thought was really good.
The design of the villas is sooooo nice, wow.
The only thing that I noticed and I’m sure they’ll include soon is there was only one trash can (that was in the bathroom) in the whole villa. So it was hard coz we had to go to the bathroom every time we wanted to throw away trash.
Other than that, I had the best week there... can’t wait to come back again when it’s fully built and construction is done.
