Great boutique hotel with excellent service. Pool is a nice pace to relax after a days sightseeing. Only issue is noise in the street at night but tho sis to be expected in the city center I guess.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is great, lovely helpful staff. The room was fine albeit a bit gloomy due to the odd design to limit the number of lights in the room. There is a nice rooftop pool and restaurant/bar and the location is good. We walked to the central bus station to catch the 14 to the Buddha park one day and paid 100K for a tuk tuk to Pharmacy That Luang another day. Quite a few restaurants and the night market (if you like that kind of thing) are a few streets away.

We spent two nights at the Laos Poet at the end of a two week trip and were pleased with our choice. The staff were most attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was on the 4th floor and was very comfortable with a fabulous bathroom. The room was nicely furnished although it was quite dark. We enjoyed the rooftop pool area which has a fabulous view over the city and a cozy bar and restaurant. Laos Poet is very central and we walked to most of the city’s attractions.

The Lao Poet Hotel reception, restaurant and bar personnel are all highly professional. The receptionist especially provided us with useful and money-saving information. The rooms are very comfortable, quiet and clean. It is centrally located for easy access to shopping, sights and restaurants. There’s every reason to rhyme with the poetry of this place,

Great centre location, very quiet. Very helpful friendly staff, even before arrival we had superb service from Zack who went to great lengths to help us find s great driver to take us up to Luang Prabang.
Breakfast was excellent. Room was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated in rich fabrics and colours.

This hotel is beautiful, lovely modern style and spacious rooms. I was pleased to have free water daily as most hotels only provide it as a one off. The rooftop pool area is amazing, although there aren’t many beds around the pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was that I had a small bag of laundry done during my stay and I was charged USD $40 for it which I think is extortionate, the room was under $80 for one night so I don’t know how they think half that amount for some laundry is reasonable!

Stylish comfortable stay at in the center of the Lao capital. Loved my large colorful suite with adjustable blinds. Great a/c. Slightly inconvenient shower. Nice refuge from the general disaster that is Vientiane.

Excellent breakfast. Tasty and the way it was presented. Especially the Lao Poet Jam. The room we got was high but facing construction. The pool was clean and at highest level you can sit there and see sunset. The night market and supermarket and cafes ( hard rock!)are nearby.

Always a pleasure to stay at Lao Poet. Service is excellent and the decor a dream. One steps into a different era or state when stepping inside Lao Poet. Minimalist luxury. The roof-top pool and bar offers spectacular views of the city.

We had an incredible driver (pm me to get details) to take us to other sites when we wanted to get out of the city or to/from airport. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was very accommodating. There seem to be a few tweaks being made to service by management that will help in future. We booked spa treatments for our final day and the masseurs were very well trained in massage

Great location, amazing rooms and good service. Receptionists kind and friendly, knowledgeable about the city but a bit lost when asked about outside tours, waterfalls, etc. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Location makes it good for walking around Vientiane to all the central sites, and youre a couple of roads over from the night market and a few tripadvisor tourist recommended bars (pass on Earth.. horrendous service).Downside of the hotel is the walls are made of paper. The couple next door were fairly active majority of the night, which sparked the couple the other side as well so it was a fairly sleepless night with a very vocal party. The beds were made use of. Alot. Many times.
