The Chateau Laurier is a beautiful property and very historic. Our room on the gold level was beautiful except for the curtains. One of the was not attached to the ceiling. Needed some tlc, but apart from that, great stay.

Phenominal. Islam, who greeted me at check-in could not possibly have been nicer or more patient even to the point of salvaging my attempts at coffee in the dining area.
The hotel is stunning inside and out. The location incles canal locks, scultures and government buildings. But its the staff that is the real gem. Even while waiting for my car the valet folks were chatting, sharing stories and telling of local events. I have several more Fairmont stays this year. The bar has been set extremely high.

The location here is very convenient, historical hotel, amenities feel old, but keep everything in good maintenance, everything kept in the clearing. Staff are very friendly, service is good ! Happy to stay in Fairmont! It’s a real hotel management hotel! Recommend!

We had an amazing stay for our 10th anniversary. Staff went above and beyond, with the highest privacy and care. Having a dedicated checkin desk only for the 4th floor was very handy. For a second you forget you are in a majestic Chateau, and feel like you are in a very cozy and private stay. They had great recommendations of the surroundings. They even made a reservation for me. The complementary servings are awesome. Location was impressively accessible, it's way closer to everything than we thought looking it was on Google maps.

Room seemed dated and run down. Gold Club lounge did not check credentials (meaning anybody could enter and partake of eats and drinks). Club lounge breakfast ran out of food early- when asked to restock, "sorry downstairs doesn't have any more " Significant homeless population all around the hotels

Beautiful, castle like hotel next to the Parliament Square. Gold room experience superior. Their executive lounge has a lot of food, coconut shrimp, shrimp cocktail, sliders , several salads, cured meats , cheeses and many more 4-7 pm and desserts from 7 10 pm. free wine, beer and Peririer breaffast, is okay.

Amazing hotel if you're planning a trip to Ottawa, location can't be beat. The gold floor is well worth the extra charge, food and service are phenomenal.
Valet at $60 a night is a bit excessive but that's capitalism in Canada's capital;-)

The toilet in our room was shaking from left to right.
At least, one of your elevators has a safety problem, i.e., door closed and after that opened and this is going for several times!
Unpleasant smell in the men's toilet on the first floor.
