This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. My only concern was that one of the electronic window opening/light settings in my room did not work and although I reported it the day I checked in, it still had not been repaired when I left. Also the lamb for dinner at Peppina (the main dining room restaurant) was so rare it was closer to raw – I had asked for medium

An outstanding location for those visiting Hobart and wanting to explore on foot. The included breakfast is outstanding and definitely worth signing up for. Gorgeous hotel - clean, welcoming and staffed by warm and helpful professionals.

Completely indulgent experience, just wish I could have stayed longer. The hotel ambience, facilities and service are superb and can’t wait to come back.

Just a beautiful hotel in a beautiful harbour.

This ambience of The Tasman is a contemporary mixture of Art Deco elegance and Southern Tasmanian earthiness. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and the valet service for our car was efficient and unpretentious. The technology for use of the lights and window furnishings was excellent and our room was comfortable and very very nice. No complaints.

While parking is listed as available, it is an additional cost of $45 per night as a valet service. Street parking is difficult and not well signed. We had noisy neighbours but the hotel was good about that issue. The room was impeccable, from the toiletries to refreshments. It was clean and well presented.

Great property, staff and location. Concierge (Alice) was excellent, Mary Mary bar staff (Ali and Rowan) were super, especially with helping prepare for wine shopping. Dinner at Peppina was also excellent. Room was spacious and super comfortable. A memorable stay.

What a fabulous hotel, from pulling up out the front and valet immediately meeting us to a quick and easy check-in. Upon opening the doors to our room the blinds open up to a beautiful view over the dock, highly recommend getting a view room. Breakfast is wonderful inside a stunning old room and buffet style with eggs cooked to order. The location is bang on point and we just can't fault anything about this hotel.

Perfect location for a Hobart trip. Hotel is without question Hobart's best. Staff were all amazing and being a relatively new property it is in great conditions. Breakfast is a real highlight!

Excellent hotel with exceptional customer care.

We stayed 2 nights at The Tasman in a Heritage View King Guest Room. We loved our stay, from the welcoming blinds & curtains that open when you enter the room to see the gorgeous view, great central location, valet parking, delicious dinner at Pepino & drinks at Mary Mary Bar...the breakfast was fab too, sustained us both for the day. The building is beautiful & was interesting to wander through with helpful staff in all our interactions. All in all 5 stars!

A charming hotel at a great location. The service was excellent and all staff were well trained to ensure every encounter was pleasant and personal. The hotel has a rich heritage but did not show its age, with guest room kept at good condition.

We were recommended to stay at The Tasman in Hobart, and I’m glad we did. The service, the breakfast and the ambience of the hotel is exceptional. It’s quite new and modern, and we had a nice view of the harbour. Also it’s walking distance to the city centre and Salamanca.

The Tasman, was wonderful in every aspect. The sandstone building the pure essence of Hobart. The decor and amenities were elegant and of high quality, but the thing that stood out the most were the staff , they provided fir your every need with excellent service. The only one thing i could suggest and that is a personal choice would be, to look at getting "Ultra plush"comfort beds.
