The property was not very clean. There were dust bunnies in the closet and there was dirt in the tracks for the windows, and to top it off, there was an envelope for a tip for whoever cleans the property. I found that very ironic, since the property wasn't really clean. Additionally, the outside lights that lite the stairs up to the property were on a motion detector and the lights didn't stay on nearly long enough and the area that the sensor could detect was very limited. My father is on a walker and needs assistance with stairs. My wife had to stand at the top of the steps and wave her arms to turn the light back on so we could see. When we arrived the code that I received didn't work which was a bit of a hassle trying to get in touch with someone. When I was on the phone trying to get assistance with the door code, I keyed the numbers in and the gentlemen told I couldn't possibly have keyed 10 numbers in the time I told him I keyed it.

We love the cabin, and the location is wonderful. The views are just spectacular and there are some really neat touches, such as the carved fireplace mantle. The outside screened porch is awesome, though it was too cold to use during our visit. The provided corn hole game was a great idea! However, there were several small issues: peeling wallpaper, the club chair in the living room is very wobbly, the instructions for the hot tub cover are out of date as the "bar" referenced hasn't been attached to the tub for some time,(it is just hanging there) and there is no "shelf". The tub cover smells of mildew, which could be addressed with some Lysol (we have a tub at home and have the same issue). The rain gutters are packed with debris. While we were there, the fireplace stopped working. Georgia Mountain Rentals addressed this by providing a space heater, which was much appreciated. Does the door code have to be 10 digits long?We recommend Clyde's Table and Tavern in Cleveland as well as Nacoochee Village Tavern & Pizzeria.Overall, a great stay and we would consider this cabin again. Thank you!

Overall the cabin is lovely. Only issue was the streaming services they said were available had been logged into by a prior guest, so we were limited to Hulu only. Normally, this wouldn’t be worth mentioning, but it rained our entire stay, and we had a 7 y/o to keep busy. Also the cover to the hot tub is in need of replacement. The plastic under side of the cover was flaking off into the tub and it took two people to cover/uncover. Those are the only complaints we had. Otherwise, it’s a Lovely cabin that’s nestled just far enough outside of Helen. Convenient to town, but nice and quiet. Would book again.

North Georgia Roots is a comfortable, clean getaway which is secluded, but not far away from stores and attractions. The home itself is well-maintained with nice amenities. The guidebook is great for not only local fare, but also items in the home that might need instructions. Out in nature, but paved throughout made the drive easy. If you're looking for a quiet spot that still has access to shops and sites...this is the place.

We really enjoyed the hot tube. the only thing we didn't care for were the spider webs coming down the front porch that went from tree to from banister. But that was the only thing the rest was great.

I’ve stayed here a few times and the house was perfect as usual. Spotless, including the jacuzzi & had everything we needed in the kitchen. Beds are comfortable, the back deck is secluded and the firepit got tons of use.

We loved every aspect of North Georgia Roots. It was very close to Helen. With three girls the set up was perfect. We especially enjoyed the hot tub at night. We would have loved the fire-pit, but it rained so we played Uno in the screened in porch and watched Netflix instead. We even saw a deer our first morning during our coffee. It was so clean and decorated adorably. Would highly recommend for anyone!

Great place in the woods that still had comforts of home. Close enough to helen and Cleveland to do the toruist stuff, but off the beaten path enough to feel rustic and secluded. Hot tube was great, AC worked wonderfully and fire pit was a nice bonus. Would live to come to property again in the future!

We've stayed in and around Helen on several occasions. This was a very nice little rental for me and my two kids. The property is private enough to feel secluded, but close enough to society where you don't worry about an emergency response time, and you're a quick highway shot to pretty much everything you want to do in the area. Not a gravel road to take a toll on my old car in sight. The house was cleaned immaculately. The beds were very comfortable. The hot tub was great. We had had an issue with the hot tub cover and they sent someone over immediately to help us out and he was very friendly. The kitchen is pretty small, so don't plan on doing any gourmet cooking unless you're a grill master (I am not). Beautiful master bathroom. We had the distinct feeling that we were welcome, and that the enjoyment of our stay was important to property management and owners.

The cabin was very clean, well stocked and a great location. But.. the steps leading up to cabin are not level and have no handrails so traversing them can be difficult especially if you have stability issues. The beds need new mattresses, they are very uncomfortable and worn out. The firepit was a really nice place to sit in the morning and the hot tub was great. Fix the steps and mattresses and it would be perfect.

Great communication, was contacted the day prior to my check-in to ensure I had received the access code and to see if I had any questions about the upcoming visit. The propane on the gas grill ran out 5 minutes after I started grilling and they had someone bringing out a new propane tank within 30 minutes, even on a Friday night at 7pm!

This property was amazing. Everything was very clean, everything worked seamlessly, stocked kitchen and dishwasher. The 2nd room has a more comfortable bed, but overall an awesome trip and property. There is a nice outdoor space and working hot tub. We unfortunately didn’t get a chance to use but we will be back! You also need to try out Jumping Goat coffee that’s on the way to Cleveland from Sautee Nacoochee - fantastic coffee and views! Then visit the general store and cafe in Sautee (close to Helen).

This cabin was perfect for our little family. The kitchen was well-stocked. We enjoyed coming back to cabin and cooking dinner while we watched the sun set over the mountains. The hot tub and fire pit were great for the evenings also. It was close to quite a few towns, but nestled in a really quiet community. We can’t wait to return.

My parents are in their 70s and had a hard time with the steps. The description didn't explain the layout of the yard. The front yard slopes and that made it difficult as well.
When we got inside, I found wet blankets in the washing machine, no laundry detergent or dryer sheets, as the welcome book says, and there were only 2 dishwasher pods. We had to buy more.
I went to open the complimentary bottle of wine, and the corkscrew was broken.
Next to the hot tub, was a particleboard thing, for lack of a better description, that was accidentally bumped and it fell apart. Luckily my 2 year old didn't try to climb it.
It was very clean and spacious, but I would not recommend .

Loved the location...quiet and felt deep in the woods, but very close to Helen and all the amenities we needed. A few things need a little attention, as the kitchen needed a few minor things to be able to completely cook a meal (measuring cup, cutting board, etc.) and the bed in the master could use a new mattress. But we loved the property and would definitely consider staying there again!
