The location - very nice and quiet lots of nature on the premises. The staff - Loi is a very friendly and helpful man, speaks English and French and is a pleasure to talk to. The breakfast was very nice too!

the bedsheets and the pillows, natural cloth would be much better than synthetic. everything else was great.

Outstanding : is the best word to describe : "Phoumrumduol Bungalows"! Likes : the room itself : spacious, clean,excellent bathroom facilities installed initially, (skylight: excellent thought!)good sized balcony, great ,good sized, comfortable bed ,well placed wifi connections , friendly staff : the Mananger ,Luch is really the one who 'makes' the Bungalows so good. The pool : great size/cleaned DAILY! The surrounds : beautifully maintained by both Luch and his terrific staff! Eating area : ideal size and NO issue ,if there was one (I had NONE!) : seen to by Luch (who makes a point of BEING available :on arrival and throughout your stay!). I cannot overemphasise the great impact Luch makes to making these Bungalows , in 10 years of my travelling Sth East Asia : the best, value for money, pleasant 'toned' ,memorable staying . Some AS good: but none better! Luch had the intelligence to : TEACH himself French (many French ,as a result ,stay/return here ). His English is fluent : I learnt much more about Cambodia from him . He is friendly, communicative and has the background/experience : to KNOW how to make your stay memorable/enjoyable! Initially : MUCH thought/practical considerations : went into construction of the Bungalows . High quality ,good long term investment,financially : has paid dividends. Location : for me : ideal! A 35 minute walk into Kampot : therefore away from traffic noise: close enough to easily access Kampot! Another 'thought out'/practical outcome! All bungalows are well spaced out from each other : surrounds maintained daily! I will not hesitate to return : Luch/his staff deserve the highest of praise! They are a credit to themselves and to "Phoumrumduol Bungalows" ! I miss the place ,already! This 'review' is not exagerrated : I ALWAYS write honestly : why not?! It helps other travellers and when praise is due : why not express it!?

Please see above : "Likes" : as I honestly cannot think of ANY negative . I'd have stayed much longer : I HAD to leave as my Cambodian Visa was expiring . Therefore : 'What I didn't like' : was HAVING to leave : Kampot is underrated as a destination ! Plus : for ME : finding/staying here made it even better! I cannot even " make up/invent! " : any negative ! But : it is Luch, the Manager who ensures /made all the positive comments (and none exagerrated!) : possible! He would be an absolute asset : wherever he worked : his experience /attitudes/work ethic /personality/listening skills (a rare quality) : all are reflected in how good a place " Phoumrumduol Bungalows" is!

Our stay at Phoumrumduol Bungalow's was absolutely excellent. The bungalows themselves are fantastic and super clean, big bed, nice bathroom, little balcony. The pool a real plus, very clean, lovely big sunbeds, lots of umbrellas for shade. And then the host, Loi, is a real star. So, so helpful, extremely nice and welcoming and can help with any situation, whether it be Moto rental (they have scooters for an excellent price), onward travel, restaurant recommendations or arrival issues. He also speaks both English and French. Can't find a fault, and the location is great as well, outside of the hustle and bustle but close enough to everything.

Nicely set in garden with pool a bit away from the centre. Luth was really friendly and helpful. Gave us good advice and sorted an issue with the air con very quickly. nice breakfast… including delicious mango from their garden!

In this hotel there is thief or two. We lost 600USdollars. We hide this money into fridge`s icebox. Yes there is seaftybox, but as many knows, hotel has factory mode, what can bee known by many. This case we forgot the money, when we check out. I remembered that after two hours latter. Phone call to hotel: room was already cleaned and the money gone. Small hotel, master key only two persons; the boss and cleaner woman. Next day we sat two hours in Cambodian police station, also with those two person. No use, word against word. Sad.

Room is very large, but not practically laid out.

Entry doors are patio style doors and don't feel too secure. Large room, but not practically laid out or furnished. A bit far from town. Lots of music noise from nearby properties. WiFi non existent in the room.

Lovely and very friendly staff, nice quiet place to relax, clean pool, good breakfast and clean rooms! Best hotel in Kampot!!

It was near the railway station. Pool clean, room spacious and comfortable.

There was no bar or restaurant, i booked this place pmimarily for this reason. I ended up having to drive into kampot to eat.

A really comfortable and nice bungalow in a beautiful garden like surrounding. Very nice and helpful manager/owner there to answer all your questions and help with everything you need.

Everything about the place is great from the pool to the room to the quiet, the staff and location Don't be put off by the distance to town it's merely $1.50 by passapp and straight flat & fast roads

I can't honestly think of anything I didn't like but maybe the hotwater not working (not really needed) and the low water pressure to shower

This is a nice property with plenty of greenery and a great little pool. Staff were friendly. The manager, Luch, was very helpful. He took me to the bike rental place, he organised a car to take me up to Bokor Mountain, and he was knowledgeable about lots of things in Kampot.

This hotel has been hit hard by the lack of tourists due to Covid. I stayed for six nights and I was the only guest there the whole time. The staff and management seem to have accepted this fate, so they've given up on some basic elements of the hospitality trade. They don't serve breakfast anymore (though I think you can ask for it); they can't be bothered to clean the rooms (mine was cleaned only once in six days, and only because I asked for it); and the owner and manager tend to use the property, especially the pool area, for their own social activities. Almost every evening some of their friends gather there to hang out, have drinks, let their kids jump in the pool, etc. One night there was also a loud children's party. There's nothing wrong with any of this; it's quaint, actually. But it can be a bit awkward when you're the only paying guest amidst all the merriment; or if you're the only guy in a bathing suit while everyone else around the pool is dressed up...

The location is quite good and quiet. The pools is more big enough to swim, and also our kids enjoy with the small pool also. I have no comment with breakfast because we did have breakfast there!

Breakfast!!! The booking stated that the price of room rate is included with the breakfast, but the property they didn't offer us the breakfast. I have to pay full amount even without breakfast!!!

We stayed in one of the newest bungalows, which was very clean and nice. Toilet was separate from the bathroom. The garden must be one of the best cared for in all of Cambodia, with well thought out details. All in all, the nicest possible environment to spend time in. Excellent location, if you want to be close to the railway station and further away from the noisy traffic of the town and major roads. Proprietors were most helpful with everything. We were given maps of the area and information about the sights when we arrived. This was a great help in planning what to do during our stay.

Water pressure in the shower is very low. Wifi connection is not the best, but this of course is not hotel dependent, but rather a usual state of affairs in Cambodia. It was enough for us.

Plot of heaven in Kampot, the place is beautiful!! Full of tropical plants, clean pool - children friendly. The owner is an amazing person - can help to arrange anything you will need
