Had a strange smell in the lobby and on the third floor where we stayed. The room was “old”, well used and definitely needed updating.

Loved the complimentary shuttle to downtown. Room smelled like a gymn. Sheets, linens, bath etc were clean, though. Staff was great.

It took us an hour and a half to check in because the hotel system was “down.” The guy at the front desk was nice and did his best.
The room wasn’t in the greatest shape either.

There was a smell throughout the hotel like old musty carpet. Comfy bed though. Definitely now worth $250 a night.

I had 3 medical procedures at Malone Family Tower, Maine Med scheduled. We traveled from NH with our 25 lb. dog the day before. They welcomed us, I booked a pet friendly room which was so clean and comfortable! Our car was safe, right near the building. They offered me shuttle service to the hospital but I declined. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here.

Looks like no major property upkeep of the rooms and pool area had been done in a decade or two. Peeling wall paper, rust on everything. Everything just looks and feels old. Pool and pool room were very cold, hot tub smelled like sulfur or something when i ran the jets. Over all, poorly maintained facilities. Breakfast was 50$ and it was eggs from a carton and canned corned beef hash. Pancakes seemed good.
On the other hand, great staff. All staff interactions were excellent.

Convenient to get in and out of. Especially if you're heading in and out of Portland. Room and hotel was clean however our room smelled like cigarette smoke.

This property is in dire need of a renovation. The room smelled like stinky feet and even a room freshener couldn’t save it. Despite being on the second floor our room had the type of windows that you’d only see from a basement apartment. The place needs to be gutted. Do not stay here unless you have ZERO standards and don’t care about catching a rash or ten.

I had a good stay overall at this hotel. It was relatively quiet, except for one night when a guest's dog was howling for a few hours. The staff was kind and helpful, and the place is decent for a quick pitstop.

Really wasn't impressed. Rooms are dated and in need of repairs. Staff was indifferent towards the guests.

NO vending machines in lobby, or dining as described.
Breakfast for 1 was 25.00 , 2 eggs, burt cold toast, one waitress for 13 or more patrons,2.50 for a cup of coffee.
Too bad of a smell of chlorine in pool and area. Elevator was so slow and shakey, was told not to use service elevator closest to my room, which was much faster.
Your front desk clerk Haven, was the Best part of my stay, assisting me in looking for lost key fob to car. She was an excellent customer service rep for Clarion.

Went to climb in my bed and there was a gel pill laying there. It was so late when I got to bed, I put it by the tv and brought it to the desk as soon as I went to check out. The person at the desk didn’t care and all they said was, “it’s just an Advil pm”. Excuse me dude, but had I been a small child and ingested that, this would be a whole different story! So was my bedding not changed, or were people sleeping on the job?

Just needed a place to stay to catch an early flight. It was quiet, comfortable and the shuttle was on time to to get us there.

Clarion was a perfect spot for us. We went to a show at Thompson's Point, and it was a really easy drive to and from there. The check in and out times are super reasonable, and there is a pool and hot tub to ease those dancing pains. The bathrooms were clean, but very oddly set up. We'll be staying here every time we go to Thompson's Point!

Only one elevator was working, long walked to our room, no breakfast offered. Bathroom small, some toiletries was empty
