It was an impressive building and in its prime would have been spectacular. It appears they may be upgrading it but it certainly isn’t complete. Shabby in communal areas. Breakfast cold when should be hot. Staff friendly though. Would have been nice to have had a lift to the 5th floor where we were put. Clean room though when we had finally arrived. Maybe in the next couple of years it will have been brought back to the glory it has previously enjoyed

A few disappoints with my stay. The first room offered had a broken air conditioner. Talked to the front desk and acknowledged it had been reported. Offered a new room with air. The shower was tiny and the wall clip for the hand held shower was broken. Showering was challenging. Walls are paper thin and heard even normal speech clearly from room next door. And older wooden floors meant I heard every footstep from room above. But housekeeping and breakfast staff were very friendly and the breakfast quite good and reasonably priced. But all considered I would not stay again.

Very nice hotel. Old style and they are renovating the rooms. We had 210 with sea view and a small balcony. Huge bathroom 🤗 Comfy bed and felt brand new. Close to the beach and 5 min walk to the town center. We come back ☺️

1st family room terrible: broken furniture, tiny tv, old n dated. Asked for a better room (was a queue behind me) gave us 2 keys. 2nd room newly refurbed, modern but window blocked by scaffolding. 3rd room, the same. asked is this the best you have? Offered 4th attic room, only problem is you have to take lift to 4th floor then walk up the emergency fire escape stairs, 2 flights! I have arthritis, a knee replacement and cant walk up stairs. Sigh The room was really good with great front seaviews. So agreed to move (having a great room for a week was more important than a lift to the floor). Not IDEAL! Room was large, double bed, futon bed, single bed, table/chairs for 2. 2nd room with a double bed. Table/chairs for 2. Modern, light, airy and really nice. Small fridge, good sized tv. Sea view from two chest high windows. Bathroom OK but shower was basic and being so high had weak water pressure. But did the job. Made the mistake of booking half board. Never again. Food was atrocious. Every pasta dish was cold. Complained, waitress said it was supposed to be cold! Mixed meat grille = two wafer thin slices of unknown meat, with half boiled potato n gravy. Like a tv meal. Not one meal was satisfactory, at least two of us had a bad dish. Calamari main course= served with lays crisps!! Bottled water only €3. Not bad but 4 of us n we drink a lot of water, €12 just on water every meal without wine. Breakfast ok still chef cant cook, undercooked eggs, bacon, 4*?

Excellent stay in San Remo! Centrally located, spectacular views.

Fair property, breakfast was disappointing. Good parking arrangements and good quiet location.

The hotel is up a hill which makes for nice views but not great for a family with a baby. The hotel is also only half renovated. We were given a room in the floor that hadn’t been renovated and was unacceptable and nothing like what I booked but they kindly changed us to the renovated part which is acceptable. The service at reception seemed a little unfriendly but it was also busy so perhaps just stressed.

We had a double room with a wonderful seeview. The room was spacious,well equipped and maintained. The bathroom was a dream. The staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast was very good.

The hotel is in a very bad condition, everything was very old, an not in a good way. The first room we got had at first no water and no light in the bathroom. Got another room but the minibar was not cleaned and half used bottles left, which by the way is very clever during COVID-19. We left the hotel 30 minutes after arrival. This is a 1 star hotel.

The staff were fabulous and so helpful and kind in sorting our booking - we were also upgraded to one of their newly refurbed rooms. Dinner & breakfast were good too ... great location just a little set back off the seafront but it was quiet and calm, safe for car parking and just a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend.

It's a beautiful grand hotel, and as other reviews have stated could do with a little tlc, but overall very good, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Nice position and view. The only bad thing was the low water pressure, especially when everyone in the hotel was using water.

Very nice stay in an older classic hotel. High ceilings, chandeliers, very nice. Room was small but ok. Breakfastt was superior. Wifi was good.

This hotel is located near the seaside and offers great views from (some of) the rooms. It shows the grandeur of the early 1900's. The breakfast is included. Rooms could be touched up a bit.

The hotel is in what must be a historic building with a very grand facade.The view from our balcony out over the Mediterranean was great.The hotels rooms were just OK. There is only so much that can be done within the framework of an old building. The bathroom in our room had been remodeled sometime in the past and was just OK. As is fairly typical with older European hotels the rooms were small.My wife thought the mattress was lumpy.The TV was small but we didnt watch it because none of the channels we looked at were English language channels.The lobby and dinning rooms were very elegant.The staff was always very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. I had a bicycle and the had no issues with storing it away securely when I came back from my rides.

Pleasant hotel in a lovely spot on the Italian Riveria. Hotel was somewhat dated, but excellent value regardless. Staff was pleasant and helpful throughout our 2 day visit. Hotel is located midway up a hill of the main road. Lovely view, but was a hike up the hill from the road. Even from the parking area, lots of steps up into the hotel. Off season, so hotel staff other than the front desk, for example a doorman to help with the suitcases, was not as present as one would expect. Excellent breakfast.

Very nice grand old aristocracy hotel. Will deffinitely stay there again. Very italian riviera. Short walk to the beach. The rooms and the bathrooms were huge and clean, high ceilings. Vry nice art artwork all over the hotel. Very nice views. Deffinitely have an esspreso or an aperitive in the hotel bar. The staff was very helpful.

We had booked a French bed but what we got was two barely joined single ones ....Didn't match two Northern Europeans
