Great staff

Can really complain the hotel is located in the heart of the city room was the usual topical hotel room very clean and spacious I was amazed with the bathroom ultra modern staff were very friendly and helpful food was good and not to pricey breakfast was great value for money €11.00 whilst booking the room ( full buffet) the only drawback was the car park very small and I was lucky to get a space. I would love to be able to say great value for money but in Ireland the hotel market is way over priced. Having said all that I would have no hesitation in staying there again.

It was ok, the room was clean, several staff both front desk, bar and restaurant were unable to answer simple questions. One staff members voice was so strident I was afraid to speak with her.

Grubby Complex. No drinking water in room. No fridge in room I gave reception a small freezer bag for my medicine but it was not put in the freezer! I booked for €20 cheaper on internet than the best rate from the hotel. Madness when you consider the commission rates hotels have to pay to Booking sites.

Hotel has a restaurant on site which is very good. I had an issue with the shower both days I stayed. The first day the water was cold. I reported the issue and staff looked into straight away but not before I had a. Cold shower. The second day the water was way too hot and it wasn’t able to be turned down. The hotel is easy to get to all the sites within town

I thought the elevator was slow. Other than that everything was fine.

from the pictures it looks like a great 4 star hotel however the room I got was veryyyy smal and the sheet was dirty, the hairdryer is in a closet so impossible to dry it in the bathroom. they reception couldn't help with an adaptor. I was not impressed. Have to say the staff at the breakfast was so nice, I was missing some coldmeat for the breakfast and they helped straight away.

Very nice hotel in walking distance to the sites of the city. Restaurant and bar had great food and the breakfast was also nice. The rooms were comfortable and bathrooms nicely updated.

Restaurant was closed so stayed in the Bar for bar food. Bar was cold and it was a very limited menu.

Everything was on point from Hanna at the front desk to the Harisa cauliflower and especially the service in the restaurant.

The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The room was excellent and the location was within walking distance of all the attractions.

The room is the best bedroom I have stayed in in all of Waterford, and I’ve stayed in most of them.

Nice location friendly staff

This hotel was decent but not amazing. Everything was very clean and staff were friendly. Housekeeping threw away the bar soap on our first day and also didnt replace it, so we washed our hands with shower gel after that. They also didn't replenish any of the tea supplies, we had to go looking ourselves. Our sleep was also interrupted frequently due to hallway noise - the numerous doors down the hallway are very loud, and people seemed to be moving about at all hours. Breakfast was just okay, both the eggs and the fruit salad were really watery, and the meats were super greasy, so it wasn't amazing. Overall, I wouldn't avoid the place, but I wouldn't make an effort to stay again either.

Lovely hotel to stay in especially if you intend using the Waterford Greenway outside the door.

The hotel is well located both from the perspective of finding it when you arrive in Waterford as well as walkability. They advertise free parking and that is true, but it is limited and VERY tight. Upon arrival I had a hard time finding a spot and had to make one. I was a bit early for check in so my room wasn't available, but they prioritized it which was appreciated. My room was very tight and I couldn't open the closet door fully as the bed was in the way. But not a big deal. There were other hotels in the area that I would have preferred for ambiance and old world charm, but I just went to those for an after dinner, before bed drink. The Fitzwilton was overall a good value.

I stayed for one night at this hotel and there were many positives! I found the hotel located within an easy walk of the train station and the bus station too. There are some very nice places to eat within the area and at the same time the hotel has a good restaurant on the premises too. There is a beautiful Church opposite the hotel. I found the lady on the reception on my day of departure to be very professional and friendly. By contrast her male colleague who check me in to the hotel was rather abrupt. The downside is that the area around the hotel has become rundown in recent years and has a bad reputation due to the influx of “asylum” seekers. The other downside is that there is a dangerous crossing or rather a busy road lacking a suitable crossing point. The hotel is very clean and modern inside and comfortable. It has many strong points!

Ugly outside, and unattractive narrow entrance to the car park, but, once parked and inside, we couldn't fault it

I recently stayed for a 2 night business trip and the stay was wonderful. The Fitzwilton is conviently located within easy walking distance to all of Waterford city and public transportation. The room was quiet, clean, comfortable and modern. The breakfast buffet was fine and there is an excellent coffee shop up the road if you prefer to eat offsite. The staff was very friendly and helpful. In particular Iva or Eva? at the reception desk went above and beyond to help me. Your reservations manager also provided exceptional customer service. My employer cancelled day 2 of our meetings unexpectedly and the manager allowed me a credit for my very last minute cancellation request. I enjoyed it so much that I already booked a night for a stay to use that credit for a family stay! Well done Fitzwilton!
