The property room was fine overa bit the pool facilities were disgusting (water was dirty and green), and one hot tub was out of service

Great place to stay

There were only 6 cars at the place and the hotel clerk said they overbooked my type of room. The tv was an old box tv. The bar counter had not been cleaned. I did not have my room cleaned or trash taken out or new towels in my five night stay I payed for 6 nights but left after 5. The bed was clean and comfortable. It was very quiet. It looks like it would have been a beautiful place 10 years ago.

Property stopped offering breakfast when COVID hit so your only option is a Mexican restaurant that opens at 10am connected to the hotel, or eat somewhere else (we went to IHOP). Walls are crazy thin and because they allow pets, the room next to us had a dog that wouldn't stop barking, we called the front desk about it and they called the guests so that helped. I HIGHLY recommend earplugs. it's 5 min from the Mall and family we were visiting so location met our needs. It's a really old hotel so their TVs in rooms don't have HDMI connection to stream your own programs. Room itself was nice and met our needs for the night. Now that we're better prepared with this knowledge, we know what to bring when we visit family nearby.

Nothing was very poor

Prior military service, and I would stay at this location with family back 10 years ago and it was luxurious and welcoming! This recent stay There was no family friendly activities other than adult friendly activities, and the front desk receptionist was rude, and treated us with disrespect, the pool was closed for cleaning and didn’t know when it would reopen said the maintenance man was gone for the day, also No breakfast at all like back then, and they charged 175 a night, the hallways smelled terrible, the room was partially clean, although the AC was nice and cold, the pull out mattress was spotted and no linen had to call and ask for linen To cover the mattress, receptionist was rude over the phone, and we asked for more towels, and she asked how many people were in my room, because she saw a big group walking in, and said she has to document everything she brought up to the room, and was profiling my family! This hotel went downhill over the years, and at night time all the night owls came out and were up and down the hallways smoking in the rooms and doing adult services from what we heard, receptionists should worry about what was going on with the night owls and keep tabs on the traffic that was up and down the hallways horrible experience and

The pool was dirty and green. Indoor pool area smelled of algae and was super hot. Was not usuable. Steam room was broken. No breakfast. The bed was very comforable. Tvs are super out dated and no channels. Rooms were clean.

Hotel needs to be updated

this property looked nice in the pictures but it is a mess in person - from getting stuck on the elevator to spending the whole weekend having to use the stairs to the third level, i would not recommend. The only good thing about it was the sweet woman at the counter

Very poor conditions inside.

The staff at Shilo Inn was wonderful! The room was spacious, clean, and included all the cookware we needed to make breakfast every morning. Do not miss the Mexican restaurant located in the hotel. The best fajitas and margaritas I have ever had! I would happily stay here again.

Guess I just expected too much . This was the nicest hotel in Killeen 10 years ago the maintenance and overall upkeep was just not what I expected. My sheets were stained on arrival asked for new ones made it myself … pool looks cloudy.. super small bathtubs and not even a coffee or small breakfast to offer and the restaurant attached was hardly a taqueria!

The property was reasonably clean. The room was not prepared properly for 3 adult guests. There weren’t enough towels, 1 roll of toilet be paper, ran out of tissues, 1 set of shampoo, conditioner and lotion, we had to keep going to the desk for supplies.

Absolutely amazing customer service at front desk and a great place to stay. Just becareful when telephoning in for reservations, you may get ripped off.

The room was a very nice size. Howevere our room was right across the hall from the Alamo conference room. They had 2 parties while we were there. It was kind of loud

Upon arrival, the room that was given was not cleaned. My husband went back to tell the worker that checked us in, but his response was “we do not clean your room if staying less than 3 days”. My husband said “We have to clean our own room at arrival?”. He apologize and said he gave us the wrong room… No problem. Later, the children wanted to go swimming in the indoor pool (main reason we booked this hotel). Same worker said you guys have to get out. I’m shutting the pool down bc it had too much chlorine. No problem, better safe than sorry. The children are getting out. One of my children turned around in place (not by the pool area, but in the entrance area of pool) and ask for a towel bc their towel rack was empty. The worker gets attitude and said yall have to leave now. I’m shutting the pool down. That’s when I had to step in because first and foremost that’s a child you’re getting an attitude with when he was only asking for a towel that YOUR company claimed was provided in pool area. Secondly, I’m the adult standing there so speak to me if there was a problem, which there wasn’t because we were leaving as (and immediately) when asked. By the time we went back upstairs to shower and came back down to leave, there were others in the pool swimming.

The property was old, outdated, carpet was old & buckled. Elevators were not working had to use the service elevator which required staff assistance. Pool area was in need of repair and updates. Gym was very nice. Staff was very pleasant and friendly. Hotel needs serious updating throughout the entire hotel. Needs to be brightened up. Still using TV's from the 80's, no TV in sitting area in room. Needs updated TV's in rooms. Beds were ok but everything needs updating throughout. We were on the 4th floor and it was very quiet which we loved. It made the stay pleasant.

Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Please fix the dryers.

The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the only inconvenience was being on the 3rd floor with 2 toddlers and the elevator not working.

We stayed four nights and have to request towels when we wanted them. You receive a discount at the restaurant that is attached which offers Tex-mex food. But no continental breakfast. We had a pleasant stay.

Only place with the indoors pool To keep the kids busy

Property is really ran down. Booked a suite to have the ability to cook for my family. Room was suppose to come with pots and pans did not had to buy my own. Could not get clean towels pool area not clean and not functioning properly. Carpet in hallways trip hazard. Requested toilet paper front desk did not have access to get any had to go out and buy my own.Hotel has realmy went to crap!
