Very clean and spacious room, excellent service especially receptionist Luis was extremely helpful and caring. Close to downtown, a bit noisy due to a busy road in front of the hotel, earplug’s recommended. Beautiful courtyard.

Great spot to stay! Staff is amazing all around - Luis at the front is super helpful, kitchen staff, housecleaning, front desk - everyone goes above and beyond to serve you! Simple rooms, very clean, no bells and whistles but great interior, location is walking distance to main part of town and across the street from a market, bank and restaurant. Would definitely return!

The location is great, very clean, they upgrade us to a better room, bigger and at no cost, the service crew was always willing to help in anything we need. The only down side is that the hotel does not have snacks or beverages for the guests even if they sell it. Other than that is really great option to stay when you visit Oaxaca.

Hotel del Marquesado is a beautiful old structure. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here.

This is my second time I stayed there. I really like that it is not right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. It’s nice , comfortable, hotel with a friendly staff.

It was near a restaurant so I was able to get food there. It’s was like 15 minutes away from the airport.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It is an easy walk to major museums and cathedrals. A desk was available to arrange tours and common trips into the countryside. The shower had some issues initially with hot and cold knobs being hard to turn. I actually stayed here a total of 10 days, and this issue improved over time. The restaurant in the hotel was alright for breakfast but was not available for much else. One had to walk a few blocks to a restaurant or a nearby grocery. There was no shop inside the hotel for buying items like combs, toothpaste, snacks. I always felt safe, and doors were locked after hours for security. At other times, the office was at the entrance. For the price, it was a good value. The friendliness of the staff was its biggest asset.

I felt a bit nervous at first, especially because of our late-night arrival. The staff made us feel comfortable and scheduled their shuttle to pick us up close to midnight. Once they called me to verify my arrival, I felt at ease and knew they were taking care of me.

The hotel looks like it has recently been renovated. It is within a short walk of El Zocalo.

The hotel is extremely clean, nice stuff , 25 minutes walking distance to zocalo.The room # 103 is horrible, is completley dark ( no windows at all , is a noisy room because is beside of cistern, the door lock doesnt work. IF YOU CONTRACT THIS HOTEL SAY THAT YOU DONT WANT THE ROOM #103. (will affect your vacations.)

Just I have one complaint. The hotel don’t have ice machine available for the guests.

Staff didn’t even acknowledge we were there. We were never greeted.

The pictures are deceiving. Place was small and distance to downtown was a 20 minute walk. The breakfast at the hotel was good. The service was blah... server looked as if she hated life. My sister and her daughter stayed in a room adjacent to ours and she didn’t sleep because her room was haunted. She felt someone on her bed. Ended up sleeping with us the following day. So beware. Also the beds were super hard and uncomfortable

- cleaning staffs are making too much noise - I put "do not disturb card" on my door... They still came in to clean the room. - it is placed close to downtown - front desk speaks English... Other than that, speaking Spanish is a must

Hotel is very well located close to historical downtown and the main highway that leads to major Oaxaca attractions. The main improvement area is the parking lot which does not have enough stalls to fit all guest’s cars. Also is a hassled to wait for people to open the parking lot door every time yo need to get in and out. Reception staff is very friendly but is at certain times during the day they get too busy.
