The staff was so nice and courteous.. We were there for a Funeral however we were able to relax a little while there with not too much distractions.

The policy they have on a lost key card is far excessive than other hotels. It leaves an unpleasantry with me where I will never go there or recommend them again.

It was a decent experience. Didn’t like that the key controlled the light so if 1 person has to leave the room then that was an inconvenience. The parking was tight and drive way to the parking lot can only accommodate midsize or smaller vehicles. The breakfast was good, needs more no pork options. The sheets were not comfortable felt too rough, the pillows were tough like rock, the bed squeaked every move made. Rooms were modern, could use little bit more pictures or a little greenery. I loved the kitchenette feature that way we did not have to use the bathroom sink for everything. I would come back if I don’t find any better options next time staying in Kingston.

only regrets we had was that we sorry we didn’t find this before other hotels .
even though the pool and other floor was being renovated which we got an email before we arrived really appreciate that heads up .
we still had a great time the place was beautiful and well kept .
price was reasonable and affordable . continental breakfast was great so many choices.
I would definitely recommend and can’t wait for my next trip . overall 10/10

This is my second stay at this property. Staff is very nice and accommodating. Close to everything. Furniture getting a bit used but beds were still comfortable. Love the secured, free parking on site.

Love the staff at the R Hotel. Glenville from the breakfast team is amazing and provides top-tier customer service. All the other team members are great, professional and friendly as well.
Front desk manager and staff were great as well. They made my check in and out process seamless.
I just wish the roof bar was opened as it would have added more value to my experience as opposed to me having to visit another neighboring hotel.
Overall my stay was great. This is my 3rd time staying here. Be sure to get a room with a balcony.

This property is great for me based on my activities of interest which include visits to friends or relatives, tours or local trips, or the convenience to many New Kingston business locations; everything is nearby and walkable or the guest has the option of a taxi, ride share, or car rentals (please discuss with the hotel). Devon House and other visitor recreation areas are nearby. This hotel is not an "All Inclusive" and the shared spaces or general areas - somewhat limited, but an overall great location to enjoy a trip to the city of Kingston, Jamaica.

The hotel is beautiful the restaurant staffs were professional and friendly. This is my second time using the R Hotel. After my check out on 8/27/24 while I was waiting for my ride the young lady at the front desk approached me showing be a black and white picture of a wash cloth. She stated that I destroyed hotel property. Please be aware that I used the cloth to wash and wip my muddy feet from been outside in the rain. I washed the cloth with the bath gel provided and the stains did not come out. So as not to create a scene I paid $4 which I regret doing.

I enjoyed my 4 day stay at the hotel. The customer service was excellent and the location is convenient. The restaurant was being renovated during my stay but the hotel suggested a restaurant just down the street that was amazing. Parking is tight due to spacing but not a deal breaker. I’ll definitely go back on another stay.

The rooms were dated, the restaurant was closed as well as the pool. I was notified that the pool would be open as of Aug 5 however it was still closed during my dates. This hotel has no amenities, so your only option is to sit in your room. A standard room with balcony was an extra $37 USD per night which I declined. The location is sketchy and is surrounded by prostitutes. The cleaners and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The "free" breakfast only had bacon or pork as a meat option and unfortunately I don't eat pork. I will never stay at this hotel again - management needs to be replaced!

This hotel needs to lower the price as well as the stars. The restaurant and the pool are “under construction”. The room had no body wash and we were given face wash to compensate. They need to renovate and update the entire hotel. Then they wanted to charge extra for Jamaican breakfast. That should be complimentary since the restaurant is under construction. I will not be staying here again.

The overall stay was great, apartment absolutely gorge, my only disappointment is there was no pool access (which was a shocker, as my Daughter was really looking forward to this) and no dinner option, also no entertainment..(that was weird), the proximity to all things important was definitely a plus..the staff was exceptional and definitely deserved to be commended, especially Glenville and Kapil, these gentlemen went above and beyond..aside from the 3 disappointing things mentioned, it was a WONDERFUL STAY!!!!

We selected this hotel because of its amentities: a good restaurant and a rooftop pool and bar Once we got there, not of it was available tonus because of either an "earthquake" or remodeling.

Room was nice and clean. Furniture a bit outdated. Hallway carpets look like they’ve never been cleaned. Hand soap and body wash bottles were empty. Large empty bottles fixed to bathroom wall. Half used disposable conditioner and shampoo. The breakfast was lovely. Staff/ customer service was excellent.

The staff were very curteous,attentive and helpful.I truly enjoyed my stay. The pool and dining areas were temporarily closed for rennovations. We were advised of same prior to our arrival however and this was the only draw back i would speak of. Thank you R Hotel for a lovely time!
