Everything about this hotel was great for us, it is spotlessly clean and has a new feel. The staff are super friendly and efficient. We did not try the hreakfast so cannot comment on that, but we did visit the pool and spa twice, both very good experiences.

Very good, excellent gym, pool and sauna were great, breakfast was good. Just would have been nice if the “club room” was a little larger. Other Village hotels I have stayed in have had larger rooms.

Not bad at all for an overnight stay, we stayed for two nights. They certainly could improve in some areas, starting by putting glasses in the room, the rooms only had small tea cups. Pillows could also do with upgrading so they are not as hard. The room was Ok, not very big, only one small spot to hang clothes, only USB points near the beds the lamp sockets are very strangely not regular sockets so I couldn't plug my CPAP machine in next to the bed! The bar with food was quite expensive and the food below average but other options are available nearby

Ellie on check in was really helpful and welcoming. She even upgraded us! The property is clean throughout, has great facilities and Guy & Vicky In the leisure club were also helpful and friendly. Our room had all we needed and the bed was comfy. Loved the ESPA products.
The food was good - a nice selection and cooked well. Service from the bar staff also was really good. Same applied at breakfast service too.
One of the best Village hotels we have stayed in. Highly recommend

I booked the wrong date on the day and was not able to change the date. Wasted £120 couldn’t change the date even after instantly contacting

The Village Portsmouth is an excellent hotel. I stayed here during a very difficult period and the staff kindness and helpfulness was beyond all expectations. Absolutely lovely.

Customer service was exceptional. Had to return after check out as I left my jacket. Wasn’t sure if it was in the pool changing room or room itself. Reception and especially one of the poolside attendants were extremely helpful in retrieving it. Also in every other way the hotel was excellent. Only criticism is in the design of the building. Fantastic rooms but very small as are most modern hotel rooms. The design of the building ‘externally’ is awful - basically a big black cube. Again typical of new builds nowadays

Facilities were great. Unfortunately the room no so good. Badly laid out in my view. Did not like the PRIVACY glass. Very noisy was unable to have the window open at night. This made the room very stuffy and hot. Had to have air conditioning on all night. Food and drinks expensive.

Hotel top notch, staff, very welcoming and helpful. Facilities were fabulous, staff, also very helpful and friendly.
Didnt like that there were no shops around, no where to go and see anything without a car.
Overall, a fantastic place to stay. Well done staff and management team 👏

Unfortunately booked this as a 60th birthday present for 2 nights for my brother in law who was visiting the uk from Australia.
I was embarrassed as they had to move rooms as the toilets were blocked.
It was expensive and not worth the money.
The rooms were too dark making it difficult to see while getting ready.
On top of this they have charged me twice by holding a pending payment despite me paying in full at check out.
I rang to complain and was told i would receive an email and money off for poor service.
Still waiting.

Really great, modern hotel - lots going on, with absolutely everything you could need! Lovely toiletries available in the bathroom, very trendy decor, super comfy bed, and staff were extremely helpful. Can't fault it! Will definitely stay in a village again!

Great location for access to city centre and port, and also to leave the city. Simole check-in and out. Good choice for breakfast. Great gym and pool facilities.

Hotel exceeded expectation. The only down side was the mattress on the bed, uncomfortable to sleep, this area could be improved.

Nice hotel, very modern inside. Rooms are a little cramped though so you don’t have anywhere to put a bag which is annoying. Bar is nice but pricey. The worst thing is the check in desk. Same as every village hotel, its very annoying and I wish they would just fit a normal check in desk.

It was an amazing friendly place. The food was great. My husband and kids we all enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff very clean rooms.

Was nice confusions over rooms but quickly sorted said breakfast until 10 arrived at 928 on dot already all cleared away so no breakfast on my birthday had to spend 30 in Starbucks .our room had a strong smell of something you dont want to know about was making me feel bit sick

Very disappointed that to use the pool extra had to be paid -I had not had this extra expense when I have stayed here before (many times) and it had always been a deciding feature of using this hotel…
The actual hotel is good, staff usually speak and are cheerful-not so when we checked in…
This time we did not use the restaurant due to my allergies but there is normally something on offer for everyone. It’s also a bonus when you can take a nightcap to your room!

Shame that the hotel doesn’t have a ‘quiet’ place to sit and drink. The bar was very noisy and not relaxing at all. The only other criticism was the unusual bathroom in the room which is visible through the glass from the bed. Other than that hotel was adequate for our one overnight stay

I stayed on Thursday following attending our Grad Ball at the Village Hotel. The event space was great and the staff were all very friendly. The hotel room was very clean and modern. The bed was also comfy and the shower was powerful.

My room seemed to be near the gym area so there was the constant noise and bangs of weights being dropped. Not very restful. Otherwise hotel was clean, tidy, comfy bed and ok breakfast.
