I had a lovely, one-night stay at the Orchard House. The owner is very friendly and the inn is adorable - beautiful old house with cozy, updated, country-chic decor. Quiet and peaceful with extra comfy bed, delicious breakfast, and convenient to downtown Freeport. It was clean and fresh throughout, but the bathroom could have used a deep cleaning.

We enjoyed our stay. The property was nicely appointed, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was tasty. Our room was quite small for 2 people, and the bathroom didn’t have counter space for toiletries.

I stayed while dropping off our daughter at Bowdoin College. The location was very convenient and I enjoyed the breakfast choices and little touches like water in the room.

Coming in with the codes was easy... the stairs to the room were steep with bags, nit the best, there was water in room- good, but there was only a bed side table on one side and only power on one side of the bed- and the table was barely big enough for husband's C-pap machine- hard to charge my phone... bed too high. no hand towels. but biggest drag was that the cafe was under renovation and we really wanted a full breakfast. There was a poor selection of teas and no non-dairy milk options for the coffee. Place looked pretty but was a disappointment over all.

This was the most charming B&B. The host was so friendly, the room was impeccable, the breakfast was so fresh and thoughtful. The fresh Maine blueberries with the yogurt topped it off as an A experience. Loved the whole experience!

This is the cutest inn! It is so beautiful I’m just sorry I couldn’t explore the property due to the rain. The setup made us feel safe and secure and the room was so comfortable and welcoming. Would highly recommend.

Lovely b&b in an old farmhouse. Floors a bit noisy creaking, so light sleepers may have a hard time. Perfect location for a solo trip to visit family. The continental breakfast provided was great! Will stay again the next time I’m in Freeport.

Lovely updated historic property just a short drive to downtown Freeport, but feels far away. Management is very friendly and accommodating for any specific needs. Overall - recommend highly and will stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at The Orchard House! The kind and friendly innkeeper was around when we checked in. His yellow lab Bay is very sweet. We enjoyed visiting with him for a bit. The inn is very quaint and cozy. Our breakfast was good with fresh yogurt, berries and granola. We appreciated the quiet location just a few minutes down the road from the L.L. Bean headquarters shopping area. The Italian restaurant near there is amazing.

The Orchard House was lovely! The perfect blend of historical with modern amenities/fixture...Wonderful ambiance, convenient location, easy check-in/out, clear pride of ownership all were evident here. We had a great time exploring Freeport with the Orchard House as home base for a quick overnight getaway. And the mattress and pillows in the bookcase room: heavenly!!! It is rare for both my husband and I to sleep well while away from home, but we FINALLY found an excellent sleeping arrangement here. Thanks, we hope to visit again soon.

The Orchard Inn was the perfect overnight before my flight home from PWM. I was traveling solo and had room 3 with two twin beds - lovely room, comfortable and quiet, and had everything I needed. Loved the morning breakfast and coffee. I hope to return soon!

Bill has a beautiful property. The rooms are immaculate- clean, charming decor, lovely breakfast options in the morning, and you may be greeted on the property by his gorgeous and friendly yellow lab! He made us feel right at home, the Café is still under renovation but we hope he is able to open soon and wish him all the success. We will be returning to stay again.

We had an amazing stay at The Orchard House. The pictures do not do it justice. It is beautiful and special. We stayed in the Library Room. Very unique and spacious for 2 people. I am in love with the bed/mattress! The light breakfast served (coffee/tea, cereal, boiled eggs, juice, toast.etc) was perfect and a great way to start the day. The owner Bill (and his Mom Lynn owner of the vintage shop Folly) are fabulous. And the dogs, Bingo and Bay are the icing on the cake. Would definitely recommend! And we hope to come back in summer.

The Orchard House & Cafe was a serene and cozy establishment with thought put into every detail of our stay. Our entry was simple, the room was immaculate and well appointed with all the comforts of home. Breakfast was arranged and waiting for us with a generous time frame which meant we could sleep in!
The only down side is … you don’t want to leave!! Thank you Bill for your hospitality and warmth! We can’t wait to visit again!

This is a cute farmhouse. We could hear the people above us walking/running. There were limited options for breakfast and not many options for transportation (only one taxi service).

There was no a/c on the top floor of an old farmhouse. The owner said there was a ceiling fan for comfort, seriously-late June? Ok, we opened windows & heard expressway traffic all night. Also, there was no fridge available.

Renovated farm house that looked like it was decorated by Martha Stewart herself! Hot running water in the shower with a shower head tall enough to accommodate a six foot five man! Bill and his yellow lab were both friendly and hospitable. When my wife leaves a BnB happy you've really accomplished something.

This was a unique property and experience. We didn’t run into anyone at the property or interact with any staff. It was actually refreshing and fine for our purposes. The building was nicely renovated and since we both slept like a log after a long travel day, it was perfect.

The decor was very attractive and it is convenient to two highways. They have self-check-in after 3 p.m. and as we arrived at night we didn’t see anybody else. This is convenient but would have been nice to ask about the area, etc. The walls were very thin and we could hear both sides of the phone conversation in the room across a narrow hallway. You could hear road traffic all night from 95 and route 1. Breakfast is minimal—no cooked food. Stain on the inside of the otherwise clean-looking white bedspread and on one of the pillow shams.

We never saw any of the staff, which can be a good thing sometimes, but the cameras in public areas were a bit disconcerting - to know you are being watched but never see anyone. Also, some additional attention to cleaning (dusting, etc) in our room and bathroom was needed. When your decor is mostly white, this is really noticeable. Otherwise, the property itself was gorgeous, the room was very nice, and the linens were excellent - a great night’s sleep!
