The hotel was OK but not what I would have expected for an 8.2 rating. There was peeling ceiling near the door and dead bugs behind the bed when I moved the bed to plug the clock and lamp in that were unplugged. The room was otherwise clean and it had a fridge and microwave. Shower worked good. Bed was comfortable with adequate pillows. The continental breakfast was just carbs. No fresh fruit, eggs, or yogurt. Dated hotel with recent paint and LV flooring.
I woke up the first night with tapping on the floor like a small animal with their nails packing on the floor. I grabbed my flashlight and searched but could not find anything. I later realized that it was a dog in the room above mine.

I just wanted a clean place to stay. The bathroom is an essential place to have clean. The bathroom drain was clogged. No actual reason for there to be wads of hair clogging it and ruining a basic shower. The outside bathroom light didn't even work. If you're not staying for long then it's an ok place to stay. It seems safe. But the shower made me wonder of all the other areas that just weren't being cleaned properly.

Clean place,a small odor in room, we always carry air freshener. GPS couldnt direct us there, but Ike was awesome with directions and check-in. Very nice and friendly.

older but well-maintained. clean, with fridge and microwave. mattress was a bit saggy, woke up with a sore back. worst of all - everywhere seems to be doing it these days - is advertising "breakfast" but only offering coffee, juice, pop tarts, bagels, and muffins :P

Remodeled hotel. They did a great job. Room smelled clean and was clean. Hot water is hot and has great pressure. Very close to St.Augustine public beach/pier. Not walkable but great for biking. Lots of small breakfast/lunch spots on way. Best value/experience we have found in 4 visits per year for over 10 years.
Downside…sucky TV with sucky programming. However, we have pads/phones and watched our own. No biggie. Remember to ask about the adopted “hotel” cat. Love this place. ;)w

I didnt feel like the room was visibly dirty but there was a huge bug in the bathroom which my mom killed. The first room we checked into had a toilet that wouldn’t flush and a full dehumidifier which I dumped out because I have the same one at home. It also smelled like mildew and sadness.

This little Motel is always so clean and very comfortable! The staff are exceptional and I will always choose this one to stay at! Now this stay happened to be on Hurricane Debbie hit day so I did have to cancel my trip but the Manager made things right with me. So honesty and cleanliness goes a LONG Way with me. Thank You Americas Best Value Inn. I can" wait until my next trip!

Our stay at the hotel was wonderful. The only exception which was no fault of the hotel was there was a gentleman that was staring at my teenage daughter inappropriately while she was in the pool. Nothing happened because she got out and came back to our room.

The hotel is right on A1a and can be noisy from the traffic. I requested a room in the back by the pool,last room. It was good. The bed could have been better. The left side of the bed was too soft and sunk in. Right side better. The a/c was strange. If you put it on 70 or 68 it would shut off and get too humid. You have to turn the a/c downfor the humidity to stay down. The room was clean, except the floor. Tile on floor so I took my shoes off and feet were dirty from floor. Had small refridge and microwave. Went and got a bagel for breakfast. Not much for breakfast, but for me it was good.woild stay again.

The hotel is slightly dated but impeccably clean. Everything in my room worked! The A/C worked well and quietly. The staff was hard working and very friendly. I also felt safe staying here with no 'characters' hanging around at all hours of the night. The parking area is well lit with security cameras evident. The area around the hotel is very walkable and there are multiple, good restaurants within minutes. You can also walk across the parking area to the Winn Dixie or a little further to Publix for groceries. A quick car trip up A1A will take you to Old Town St Augustine or multiple beaches. I feel that the staff and price make this a worthwhile stop when visiting St Augustine.

The trip was so good we stayed an extra day!!! Clean. Polite Quiet! Pool is clean and nice! Right across on A1A so walking distance. Restaurants all around. Publix and Dunkin close. Excellent stay. We will be back!

My husband, baby and I stayed for two nights. It was near the beach access and one of our fave breakfast spots. It was quiet, comfy beds and clean rooms. Everyone was super nice.
If I were to complain about anything it would be the lack of a smart tv and access to Netflix, etc. There weren’t many channels to choose from
That being said would definitely stay again!

Our stay was excellent!!! My only complaints would be the bedspreads in the room. VERY old and didn't smell good at all! Also the TV had horrible picture and not many options and the WIFI signal was very poor. Otherwise our stay was great!

Room was close to what we wanted to do, price was right ! Just some small problems, #1 3 day stay only came in to pt fresh water and coffee cups daily, we made bed and towels were hung up not replaced. #2 telephone in room did not work so could not call out (cell phone was used)
#3 crack in bathtub and low volume of hot water later in afternoon
