House was very spacious and in a nice quiet area. City centre just a 5 minute drive or a nice 30 minutes walk through a park and by the river. There are a couple of takeaways and a small shop within a 2 minute walk and a retail park about 5 minutes away. Owner was very nice and attentive and left some tea, coffee and milk for us on arrival. They showed us where everything was, how the heating and hot water worked and were on hand in case we needed anything.

The house was fine and maybe just needed a couple of additions such as blinds in the front window and a new toilet seat. Some instructions for the bin collections and maybe some local leaflets would have been nice but not essential.

Host really friendly, we field the warm welcome in the arrival. We really appreciate the space what we got in this house, my little son had the chance to run around in the living room before bedtime. Shops are close to the apartment and some take away. Is relatively close to the Cathedrals and all of the touristic attraction.

Some little issue with the bath , garden is unhabitable. Could be nice to sit outside to have a coffee in the early morning.

perfect home away from home. Cosy 2 bedroom house within a stone's throw from Durham city center. Ideal location . House was clean, well equipped and Josephine was kind to ensure we had tea, coffee etc. Very good value for money and would recommend anytime . Josephine is a great host who was trying to make the best stay for us. Much appreciated.
