Worth every dollar!

Great location, great staff, fanatic room. Only draw back is for safety reasons they do not provide either a steamer or iron in the room and won’t bring one to you unless you pay for their cleaning service (which I didn’t think was fair at all). Bar that we had an amazing time

Very well designed

We had a two room suite and it was lovely. Our son was thrilled to have his own king size bed and bathroom. The location was in the nicest shopping district. We were there during one of the hottest weeks this summer. The a/c was not the coolest of all the hotels we stayed in but we requested two fans and couldn’t be happier.

The hotel is literally a hidden Gem … thus the name of the hotel. The service is incredible, from the gentleman who took our bags to the room, the bartender, the restaurant servers, and they have a Michelin star chef, which tells you how good is the food. We will be back.

Great hotel

We had a beautiful stay at this boutique hotel! It is well located, walking distance to luxury shopping and sights. Linens and towels were very fine quality, which we love and is hard to find these days. The decor and details within the room were wonderful, truly well designed and executed. The spa was just perfect, small but with everything one needs! Beds and shower were great, and the public spaces in the hotel were well designed and just beautiful. I was very happy here and would recommend to the most discerning travel, its staff were top notch as well, very proper. Thanks for making our stay in Florence amazing!

Absolutely stunning property! This is truly an amazing place to stay; it is extremely modern and beautiful, the rooms are jaw-dropping (especially the green marble bathrooms) and the hotel, from top to bottom, looks as if it’s straight out a magazine. The à la carte breakfast was delicious and served to perfection. Well worth the money spent to enjoy a beautiful stay here. We will definitely be returning and recommending this hotel to our family and friends! Note: The house manager Gian Luca was extremely friendly and welcoming and ultimately made our stay unforgettable

A true gem indeed! What a wonderful hotel right in the heart of the old city! Close to everything, walking distance to pretty much every tourist attraction, museums, opera, piazzale Michelangelo etc! Beautiful, clean , extremely comfortable and absolutely wonderful staff! And did I mention that the hotel bar also has the best drinks in town! I would recommend this place without any reservations and of course I’d stay here again anytime!

Wow, this review is a really hard one for me… as much as I would love to say, how amazing this property is… I felt the service was lacking. When I arrived at the hotel the bellman greeted us, & took our bags… but no one was at the front desk. Which was extremely odd, for such a high end hotel. We wait for entirely too long for someone to get back to the front desk for us. There is beautiful bar to the right of the front desk, with no one there. If there would have at least been a bartender there, or if the bellmen would have given us a glass of wine, water, & or the WiFi code it wouldn’t have been so bad. My room however, was amazing, & even more beautiful than in the photos! The hotel has a beautiful rooftop terrace, with spectacular view of the city. We were pretty much alone up there. The welcome drinks, & Expedia VIP hotel bottle of Champagne was great! Plenty of shopping & restaurants outside the hotel as well! Breakfast was great! The bartender upstairs at the other bar was fantastic, & so friendly! Leaving the hotel we had to wait for an iron that never came, & longer than expected for a taxi. Once again a service issue! If they fix the service at this hotel, this property easily is a 10 out of 10!

WONDERFUL stay in April 2024. Eduardo (part of the family who owns the hotel) was so fun and helpful. This was the best place ion our entire 2 week tour of Italian cities. They will do anything to help you., Breakfast is included and was GREAT.

La Gemma is a beautiful property. The entire staff was professional, friendly, courteous and extremely helpful whether it was for transportation or restaurant recommendations or just directions. Breakfast is amazing and the staff top notch. The location is perfect for every adventure you are planning in Florence. I will definitely plan on staying here again next time in Florence.

Great location with accommodating and friendly staff. Room was beautiful and clean. The only downside was how warm it was at night. Fortunately, we were able to open the balcony door to let cool air in, but this caused mosquitos to enter and we were bitten. So overall, it could have been a more comfortable stay.

A beautiful boutique hotel, close to all the sights Florence has to offer. Staff incredibly helpful and welcoming, breakfast a delight, rooms and all public areas pristine. Totally recommend staying here.

It was so wonderful trip in la gemma in Firenze ( Florence ), Staff was professional and the whole service and journey was excellent. I enjoyed the welcome drink and loved the design of the room. Also, there was a bar and drinks were super good. Breakfast was nice, coffee was also nice.
