We really enjoyed the location and amenities that this property offers. It's a short drive to downtown Mt. Airy, but feels secluded and private. The pool area is bordered with Tulip trees. The house is well-lit, clean and stocked. The internet speed is great and allows for multiple streaming devices.

We absolutely LOVED this VRBO in Mt Airy, NC, so muck so we intend on renting the exact same place next year. The house was large enough for my family of 5, my sisters family of 4 and our mother. (Kids ranged from 7-17). The house was clean, spacious, stocked, the pool was great for the kids, and the ability for us all to go down to the creek for a bonfire/smores @ night and/or cozy up to a movie or show in either the up or downstairs was perfect. The kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms had everything you could possibly need. Beatra was communicative, friendly and accommodating. 5⭐️’s, highly recommend.

Wonderful and comfortable facilities and activities for everyone. Fishing, swimming, indoor and outdoor games, books, and much more. Enough beds and baths to accommodate everyone. Kitchen is very well appointed and equipped. Great grill for outdoor cooking. Close to Mount Airy and excellent hiking on Mount Pilot.

We had 14 stay here for a week and had plenty of room. We had adults, teen, younger kids, and 2 small dogs, all had a great time. There was plenty to do without even leaving the property. We cooked all but 1 night (visiting a local restaurant 13 Bones which was great and decently priced), and the kitchen had everything we needed with appliances, pots, pans, etc and the gas stove was great. The dinning room table is beautiful, and was great to be able to all sit together for each meal, but also to sit and play cards, etc. With the "pay it forward" kitchen of spices, refrigerator, and pantry we had lots of items that we otherwise would have had to buy. We did make a visit to a nearby Sam's in Winston-Salem and then had everything we needed. The home had plenty of towels and having 2 washers and dryers was nice too. The guest house was nice with a 1.5 year old to have a separate place to nap and go to sleep at night. The kids loved the pool, even though it was a little chilly (which is clearly stated that it's not heated). The hot tub was very nice and in great shape. Plenty of places to sit and read. The firepit by the river was nice and we made s'mores one night. The path to the lower part by the river could be a little slick after a rain, and is a little coming back up. We played the disc golf course multiple times while there, and was nice for experiencd players and beginners too. The owner was also great and very responsive, to any questions or concerns we had.

We loved every minute staying at this wonderful house. It was a great spot for a getaway and comfortably fit two families. The kids loved the pool and easy access to the river. Everything was clean and the house had everything needed - felt like a home away from home.

This home had everything you could need and want for a family vacation. There was a play loft with so many toys, books and activities for young kids. The disc golf course and beautiful setting kept the adults happy. The kitchen had everything you could need and very nice utensils, cookware, etc. the home was extremely clean and so nicely done. The setting was so serene, the sound of the river and beautiful deck to enjoy the pool was perfect. The beds were comfortable. The only thing that would have put the trip even more over the top was if the pool had been heated. I’m sure in the middle of the summer it would be warm enough to enjoy but it was still pretty to sit by.

We had a group of 11 stay at this home for a Mother's Day / Birthday weekend! Everyone loved this home! It had so many surprises wrt amenities and supplies! We had everything we needed to enjoy a long weekend in Mt Airy. The home was so inviting and cozy we opted not to go out Saturday evening (after a couple's wine tasting). Instead we all put our swimsuits on and enjoyed the pool and hot tub, ordered pizza and in the later evening we started a fire down by the river, made s'mores and just had fun, quality time with friends and family. We even managed to play a little disc golf on the private disc golf course on the property.
We enjoyed visiting 2 local wineries: Shelton Vineyard (30 min drive) and JoLo Winery (20 mins drive). Highly recommend the Grand Tasting tour at Shelton Vineyard! And The End Post restaurant at JoLo has amazing outdoor views to enjoy when the weather is nice! And the wine and food were delicious too!
All of the families said they would definitely stay at this home again should we ever come back to Mt. Airy!
The host, Beata, was super accommodating and easy to get in touch with! This is definitely a home we will 'save' and stay again if the occasion presents itself for another Mt Airy visit!

This is one of the best vacation rentals we have ever experienced. We gathered our family to attend a wedding and have a "mini-reunion". There were about 12 of us. Most of us stayed in the main home, and we put the grandparents in the adjacent cabin, which worked out beautifully. This place is just so perfect! Everyone was blown away, and we will continue speaking about it in memories for years to come. "Riverside Memories" perfectly encapsulates the whole experience!

Riverside Memories was the perfect spot for our family get together. From the beautiful views of the Ararat River to the the amenities inside, it was a perfect rental for spending some quality family time. Family members from several different states were able to enjoy very comfortable accomodations and lots of activities. We played disk golf (7 basket course), hatchet throwing, corn hole, scrabble, as well as Texas Hold'em, and enjoyed the hot tub. Everything was a pleasant surprise, but the highlight was the arcade machine in the game room. Lots of tournaments were played in that room. The house also has easy access for those family members who have mobility issues. Numerous balconies and outdoor spaces allow for privacy if folks need a few minutes away from family. The separate cottage was a treat as one couple had their own private space. We also appreciated that It is very well stocked even including spices for cooking. We were able to have family dinners at the house most nights. Also we have rented many properties that are pet friendly, but Riverside Memories is the most pet-friendly we have found. It was special for our fur babies. We had two Shih Tzus who loved their morning walks there. Because we grew up in the area, we weren't interested in the "Mayberry" Mt. Airy experience, but all of that fun is a very short drive. We had a wonderful time and will rent this property again. The owners have anticipated every need in this property.

We enjoyed our stay so much! The river behind the home was a wonderful spot for our kids to splash and play. The available games and activities at the house also kept them happy and entertained. The town of Mt. Airy is quaint and fun! The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed to prepare our meals.

Wish we had a longer stay to enjoy all the amenities. Stocked kitchen made it easy to cook (two sinks). Our group enjoyed the hot tub, the river view, gathering in the great room at night. Not enough time to use the fire pit, unfortunately. Pantry with spices etc was handy for our cooking needs and enjoyed our meals at the beautiful dining table. Nicely decorated, showers great, slept well. Thank you, would love to come back when the pool is open!

We had a great time at the Riverside Memories cabin during our long weekender with the kids over spring break. It was the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnect with nature and each other. Beata, the host, was fantastic and quick to respond to our questions during our stay.
Most of our time was spent on the river near the cabin, enjoying picnics and water-based activities. We had a blast and would definitely consider coming back in the future.

You truly do have everything you need at this beautiful, clean, and welcoming home. Always something to do keep you entertained as well. From watching nature, to playing in the river, and of course the hot tub and disc golfing. Wish I was able to stay here during the summer months!

We had such a wonderful stay at this log cabin on the River!
The check in was easy, Beata was great with communication and was so kind answering our questions, and everything was well prepared for us when we arrived. They use a pay it forward system on items in the house, and we found it to be well stocked and we left behind goodies for the next guest to uncover as well.
It was comfortable, spacious, and beautifully decorated.
The views are stunning, so pour your cup of coffee and head for the deck where the gurgling river will relax you to the point you don’t want to go home. If the river is not your thing, head to the porch and rock in the rocking chairs or swing on the porch swing. Either way you can’t go wrong.
Lots of opportunities to sit in the quiet and spot wildlife. The location is serenity defined.
Mayberry is nearby (minutes) and you should definitely check it out, cute little town with friendly people. But if you don’t care to hear into town, (and let’s be real, you won’t want to leave the zen of the cabin), you can get DoorDash and Instacart deliveries right to your door!
The game room is a bonus and there is a lot of room to spread out and get some time to yourself too.
It is quiet, peaceful & absolutely stunning and we cannot wait to go back and visit again!
Note: my husband thinks the only thing needed is a night vision trail cam or two where you can watch wildlife from inside and I agree!

My family enjoyed this beautiful property as we visited Mt. Airy for my nephew’s wedding. What a hidden gem! The kitchen was fully stocked. We requested a small amount of additional time to visit with family before we left town and the host was very accommodating. We would love to book during the summer to enjoy the river and pool. Very highly recommended this property and host.

We met with husbands cousin, now in 70’s these men hadn’t seen each other in 35 years, I met his wife and grown daughter and we chatted like old friends. It was wonderful. The solitude of the home was perfect. We did get to sit outside some. We will remember this place for summer trips, a pool and hot tub, on a creek, it was just lovely. The kitchen has every gadget and nice appliances that made cooking a delight. We all enjoyed every moment.

The cabin is just gorgeous, with a great game room in the basement we enjoyed. The location along the river is fantastic. We enjoyed some fishing (note, they stock trout starting about 1/2 mile down river, so for better luck travel down stream. The rail trail is about 600 yards down river, and was recently extended. I'm an avid biker, so that was an unexpected bonus. Just walk down the right of way behind the property along the stream, very cool, no getting into the car. The disc golf course on the property was a lot of fun, I thought they meant it was at a nearby park, but no it's right on the property. Unfortunately we were there when the pool was closed, but it looks amazing. I think I could probably say this was the coolest VRBO we've ever stayed in, Kudos to the owners.

We stayed here for 6 nights and absolutely loved it. The yard is amazing! It’s tucked away in the back of neighborhood on 3 acres and the front yard up on the hill is giant and the backyard going down to the river is perfect!
The house is gorgeous and stocked with everything you need. Contact with the owner/property manager was excellent.
If you’re looking for a great house with an excellent view without the crazy WNC hills this is the place for you!

This was an absolutely lovely place to stay. We spent 3 days and 4 nights here at Riverside Memories. The host was very communicative before, during, and after. The house is very private, there's a huge backyard that goes down to a lovely river, we didn't see anyone else the entire time. The house itself was gorgeous, clean, and well-appointed. All the appliances seemed like newer models, we used the dishwasher, oven, and laundry machines and they all worked great. The house had everything you could possibly need, from linens and towels to a fully-stocked kitchen (pots and pans, utensils, cooking tools, spices, and more). They have a system where people can leave stuff for others to use, so we left some firewood after using the firepit (which was also great!), and made use of the spices and seasonings others had left. The game room was a lot of fun, we enjoyed using the Wii system. There's also a ton of board games, multiple TVs (with cable), and a fireplace. My favorite part was sitting down by the river reading, while my husband and our dog lay in the hammock. All in all an absolutely lovely place to stay.

We visited Mount Airy during Mayberry Days to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Riverside Memories is an amazing property that is well stocked with any amenity you could possibly need. The cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated. The property grounds were also very well maintained. We loved spending time at the river and enjoyed the fire pit during the cooler nights. Beata was a wonderful host and I highly recommend this beautiful property to anyone planning a trip to Mount Airy.

Riverside Memories surrounds you with such a relaxing, beautiful atmosphere. Attention to detail is evident throughout the property. The house itself is furnished with every amenity you could imagine. We will be back!

Very clean. Pool was nice but super cold 71 degrees .it was 88 degrees outside thought the pool would be a little warmer.but we played the wee games and enjoyed the super nice place

Absolutely wonderful!! From the minute we turned onto the drive, we knew that this property wasn't going to disappoint! Traveling with teens can always be iffy, but between the disc golf course (my teen boys loved being able to play anytime they wanted), the pool, the game room loaded with fun games for all ages and the beautiful river that runs behind the property to explore, the teens had plenty to occupy them and keep them all happy!! The entire time we stayed at Riverside Memories there was not a single moody teen! Which, of course, made for happy adults!
The kitchen had everything you could ever need and more! The bonus pay it forward pantry came in handy on multiple occasions. The entire property had plenty of extra linens, pool towels and bathroom necessities. The laundry room made it easy to stay on top of keeping them tidy.
All the beds were super comfortable. My husband and I had the best sleep we have had in a while and we totally tried to figure out what type a mattress it was so we could get a new one just like it when we got home. :)
When I say you can just show up to Riverside Memories with just the suitcase of clothes - I mean it. They thought of everything!! We will definitely stay here again if we ever find ourselves back in that area. Thank you for opening up this property and for the amazing memories we will cherish forever!

If you’re looking for a cabin in the woods with all the amenities, look no further. From the pool to the river in the backyard, we didn’t feel the need to leave the property. Our kids, ages 7-14, were happy to spend their days looking for treasures in the river, hopping from rock to rock downstream, and playing games in the pool. Our dogs also enjoyed their free range days jumping in and out of the river. Inside the house we had everything we needed for cooking dinners with the fully stocked kitchen. Our little one loved the play nook in the loft and the older ones enjoyed the game room area downstairs. We can’t wait to stay again and create more memories.

The Riverfront Log cabin was everything listed and more! Our family traveled from WV and Georgia to celebrate a birthday and we had a blast! The grandchildren really enjoyed the loft playroom, which gave the adults a little talk time. Everyone had a great time in the pool and the weather cooperated.

We had a wonderful stay at the riverside cabin. Our only regret was that we only stayed 4 days. We would come back again for another long weekend or longer stay for sure. As far as cleanliness and amenities, this cabin far surpassed our expectations. You can tell just how much thought the owner puts in to making sure you have all you need to enjoy your time there. I went with my husband, two children (8 & 6) and my in laws. There are quite a few stairs and the path down to the river is somewhat steep, so if you truly have someone with mobility issues you may want to be aware. All ages in our group had a wonderful stay and were able to navigate just fine, but thought I would share for others who may be wondering. The river was beautiful and we enjoyed our time spent down there as well. The kids (and adults!) loved the pool to cool off after being out exploring. The kitchen has so many great items so like others have said, check it out before heading to the store! Thank you for such a peaceful stay. We hope to visit again sometime! ~Carmen & Jeff

We were looking for a relaxing country 4th of July and Mt. Airy didn’t disappoint with the parade and fireworks. This house was amazing with the in ground pool and the creek. It has EVERYTHING you need! The only issue I found with the house is the guest bathroom is a little small. They have a charcoal grill which is plus or negative depending on if you like using charcoal or not.

This was an unbelievably wonderful get-a-way for me and my 16 year old twins! We had plans to do several things close by but only ended up leaving once for a quick ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway (only 32 minutes from the house!). With the river, the large pool, disc golf, foose ball table, old-school Ms. Pac-Man, the Wii, the board games and the quiet secluded atmosphere - none of us wanted to leave and go anywhere else! We spent our time hanging out together and cooking in the absolutely gorgeous, super well stocked kitchen - it honestly had everything we needed and more! The pay-it-forward pantry was awesome! I highly recommend grocery shopping after you check in, so much was already there- from condiments to spices to random snacks and treats! The house was extremely clean, the beds were super comfortable, and the atmosphere/vibe made us wish we had booked several more days! We all highly recommend this property, even the teenagers didn't want to go home! We are already planning our next trip back!

This property is amazing! Anything you could possibly need or imagine is provided. Has all the essentials plus more. Kitchen is completely stocked with everything you need to cook and entertain. Plenty of towels for bathrooms and pool for large families or parties. Great assortment of board games as well as a fooseball table and disc golf. Pool floats and noodles are provided also. Easy access to river which is perfect for exploring. Incredibly private property. Feels like you are secluded in the woods, but only 10 minutes from downtown. The house and pool were immaculate! Communication was exceptional and check-in was clear and easy.
Overall the house, location, pool and experience exceeded our expectations! Will definitely be going back!
