We would return again. Our unit was great. Ocean view, full kitchen, small table to eat and small sofa. Good for families. Easy beach access and multiple pools. Also they had security there in the parking garage and near the pools. Unfortunately we stayed during a tropical storm so outdoor pools were closed.

The staff was friendly and the room was great. And best of all, the hurricane had passed by and the weather was great.

I liked that all rooms are oceanfront and convenient parking garage right outside the door. Our condo was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The small kitchen had everything we needed and the hardwood floors were so much better with all the sand coming from the beach. We enjoyed the pools and the lazy river all were the perfect temperature. I wished the pool side bar was open longer for after dinner drinks. Overall it was a great value stay.

I’m not sure why anyone would give this above one star - it was absolutely disgusting. The staff was indeed friendly, and there was plenty of parking, but that was about it. They checked us in late (at 4pm when they hadn’t called to say our room was ready, I called them and they told me it wasn’t ready yet and that check in “started at 4.” We all know that’s not true so I asked if I could “start checking out at 10am then”) Anyways, an hour later when we finally got in the room, it was so dirty and gross. The carpets had multiple red stains all over them (I’m guessing red wine but it was conjuring blood in our minds), the wallpaper was peeling, there were crumbs in the bedsheets, the kitchen had rust everywhere…but the coup d’etat was when we were going to sleep and my husband saw a live roach in the kitchen (which then crawled between the appliances before I could kill it.) My teen started screaming. “I’m not sleeping here!!” over and over (of course we didn’t have a choice.) We laid awake all night and in the morning I went downstairs to tell Virginia (the supervisor) about our experience. I will say - I give her 5 stars - she handled the whole thing (and me) like a pro and with kindness, and ended up completely fixing the situation by contacting Vacasa and having us moved to another (cleaner) hotel. It was a hassle to have to move, but the rest of our stay was much better. But both she and Vacasa did make it very easy to at least improve our bad situation. Never again.

Clean fresh painted smells good

Our door code to our room did not work 3 different times and maintenance had to keep coming up and getting us a new code while we stood in the heat locked out for 1/2 an hour each time. The bathroom light did not work but we weren’t in our room long enough to care. Mainly just used it to sleep. We did find what looked like a black eye glasses cleaner wrapped up in our sheets/ blankets so not sure if it was washed with the blankets or left from the previous people. There was also a plastic bag on the balcony with what looked like a pair of underwear in it, we did not touch it. The coffee pot on the counter was so dirty as soon as we got there. Thank god we didn’t use any of the cooking utensils or things that were left in the room. Kind of made us doubt if our room was even cleaned before we arrived. The parking garage is so small and hard to park in if you’ve got a bigger car/truck. The hotel was in a great location though. Right around everything fun to do. The staff were friendly. We won’t be staying there again because of all the problems with our room.

My vacation in August 2024 with my family. Our rating is average. Neither excellent nor very bad either.

Communication between staff and house cleaning duties were not properly.

This was a basic hotel. No daily cleaning although if you need fresh towels The front desk will send them to you quickly. No restaurant just vending machines. The beach is beautiful, however if you fly to Myrtle Beach and can't bring any beach equipment the city has 1 umbrella and 2 chairs that you can rent for $50.00 per day. I thought that was kind of steep.

The resort was nice, clean, accessible to many things! Very happy with the stay. Just wish the parking deck was a little larger 😂

Unsatisfactory

The hotel was somewhat outdated, but the room was clean Location was good. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Pull out sofabed had black mold but they did bring a bra d new sofa bed, room only cooled to 73 drgrees asked for a fan, no fans had to buy one, bar closed at 5 pm

Wonderful stay. Only issue was the door lock, which was often very difficult to open. Sometimes we had to input the code three or four times before the lock opened. Definitely felt silly standing in the hall trying to get the door open.

Evrythinh is walking distance

Was a good venue. A little dated. The room was a little banged up, but easy check-in. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

We enjoyed our time at Camelot By The Sea. The room was very nice and fit our family of 6 perfectly. Everything was easy to get to and very clean for the most part. Our kids enjoyed all of the amenities and had a blast. We will definitely book here again in the future.

Enjoyed our stay. The parking garage was very convenient. The grounds and pool areas were kept neat and clean. However, the unit we stayed in could have used a good cleaning. The apartment needed updating along with the wear and tear on the apartment. I would stay there again, but not in the same unit.

I liked the location but when you needed something when you called down to the front desk they never came up to the room to bring us the towels like we requested so we had to go get them ourselves and one of the toilets got clogged and they never showed up for that so we got it unclogged on our own.

The overall cleanliness was subpar. Lots of areas of improvement for maintaining the property properly cleaned.

The room we were placed in was not up to date and not the cleanest. There was a big hole in the bedroom door. A big chunk of wood was missing out the headboard in the other room. The living room furniture was dirty and had stains. The kitchen cabinets had chunks of missing wood as well. There was no vacancy’s so we had no choice but to stay in the room. We did voice our concerns and the best that could be done was having the housekeepers come and clean in front of us, which they did a good job. We’ve been coming to the Camelot for over 10 years but we will not be coming back unfortunately.

Loved the Beach View!!!

The property was nice. But i felt the front desk wasn’t friendly at all. I could barely understand because of the accent the women had. I was trying to ask questions and they acted rather annoyed. Probably would stay again since i figured everything out eventually on my own but it would not be my first choice.

No TV in bedroom. Number on the entry keypad kept getting stuck. Could not enjoy the view from the balcony because someone was smoking marijuana from their balcony. Remote control for the TV didn't have numbers on it which made it hard to go to specify channels.

Very close to the boardwalk and pier! You can walk towards restaurants, stores and more! Beach was beautiful very family friendly and just peaceful! Would not doubt in coming back!

Pros....walkable to the boardwalk and restaurants, clean, beautiful view of the ocean, and quite. Cons.....Room fourteen 12 the bathroom sink its extremely hard to trun on the hot water. It would be also nice if the room had smart tvs so you can watch Netflix, Hulu, ect. Nobody really watch DVD's anymore. 10 digit passcode used to get in and out of the room is ridiculous. It might work for a day or two then it will just stop working. My husband and I stayed 4 days and had to get three different passcodes cause they stop working.

I liked how close it was to everything and the dining nearby was very good too. I definitely recommend next door beach bummz for a burger or their Buffalo chicken tacos and across the road at lulus for breakfast. It Was a little noisy being next to the garage but that was mainly closer to bike week. All in all I would stay again and recommend to others as well.

View was gorgeous! Very friendly and hard working staff. Juanita was very informative, and we loved our stay there. Parking in the garage was a plus, and so was the pool and lazy river.
