Unfortunately i was so sick for our entire trip to Norway... but this was the nicest possible hotel to be sick in! Staff were so kind and accomodating. Even though they dont generally do room service, when my fiance told them i was sick so we would have to miss our resesrvation, they beought food for us to the room! 10/10 experience.

This hotel had amazing food and was very conveniently located within Bergen. The staff were all very friendly and professional. The decor in the rooms and hotel was fabulous.

Beautiful hotel with a super friendly and helpful staff. The room was comfortable with a distinctive period interior design. Great neighborhood next to the harbor. The bistro for breakfast and especially the restaurant for dinner are superb. A couple tiny suggestions: more storage space for clothes in the room would have been nice and I would have liked a way to make tea or coffee in the room, especially in the absence of room service.

The Charmante Skostredet Hotel is deliriously decorated in a manner suggesting a fantasy of Parisian luxury. I found it absolutely charming in every respect. Our room was beautifully furnished with a comfortable bed complete with soft sheets. The bathroom was wonderfully appointed and equipped with a soothing shower. The public spaces were delightful, and I really liked the soundtrack of French chansonniers from the 50s and 60s with some Brazilian bossa nova and American standards sprinkled in for good measure. Breakfast was delicious, and the La Cherie restaurant serves beautiful food. I can't imagine there is a better place to stay in Bergen.

The decor was colorful and classy. The food was excellent. Staff were helpful and kind. A few hints: It is tricky to find with Google Maps while driving. It is on a street with outside cafe seating and pedestrians walking by. I called to find out where to park. At the advice of the hotel staff we parked at KlosterGarasjen Vestre Murallmenningen 14, 5011 Bergen, Norway and walked to the hotel. The rental car has a chip for the parking charge. The hotel has fabulous food and several places to eat within the hotel and a somewhat secluded place across the “street” (walkway). The chefs choice for breakfast included a smoked trout croissant sandwich which was new to me and surprisingly amazing. I had it twice. The brisket at lunch and dinner is full of flavor and melt in your mouth moist and tender. We found live music a short walk away at Sjoborden. The Food and Culture tour was interesting and fun. There are several malls and shops within walking distance that the staff expertly guided us to for great shopping (Air France lost our luggage so we had to buy a lot of different things.)

Service needs improving. No air-conditioning in the halls or rooms. No shower caps. No slippers. No coffee making supplies in the room. No water bottles at all.

Most charming hotel I’ve ever stayed. Loved the vibe. Nice change of pace from my usual Hilton chain brand. Didn’t want to leave. Wonderful staff but the ambiance was 10/10. Highly recommend.

The hotel is beautifully decorated and the service was spectacular. It is also centrally located and easy to get to the Fjords and mountain.

This is one of the top hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I was impressed with everything - the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, to the decor, to the comfort and thoughtful touches in the room. It’s very, very conveniently located to everything we wanted to do in Bergen, I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone!

Loved this hotel . Changed room due to noise on street Friday night. Next room very quiet. This hotel is unique however rooms need complementary bottled water, tissues and shower cap. Breakfast amazing and Alesha receptionist went above and beyond to assist me change rooms.

This place is a gem. Incredibly nicely decorated, plenty of places in house to sit. French feel, nicely decorated and configued. Staff incredibly friendly and welcoming, breakfast great. Bergen right outside hotel door.

Our stay at the Charmante hotel was perfect. Great vibes, friendly staff, top notch food, and in the heart of the city. Would stay here again if we ever return to Bergen!

Very very beautiful hotel with stunning interior design. Fab position. Would love it to be a little more customer focussed with provisions of things like kettles to make some tea and also having to book for breakfast is slightly annoying. But lovely place to stay.

The decor was fab and so clean, every staff member was so helpful and lovely. It’s really accessible from the tram and quite central.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel with a wonderful staff. Even though I messed up our reservation, the staff did everything they could to accommodate us. We really appreciated their help undoing my mess up. The hotel itself is fairly new. The French restaurant attached to it is delicious. It is a great place to stay in Bergen.

The staff is the most excellent I've ever had at any hotel during our 40 years of traveling.. The French eclectic décor is charming. Excellent restaurants on both sides of the street make dining easy. And most essential, the hotel sets a mood for For its guests.that is Very romantic.

This place is absolutely amazing, and we've seen nothing like it. Every detail down to window covering, bathroom accessories, outlets, wires etc. are authentic with a French flair yet with all the modern conveniences. The breakfast was great, freshly made with vegetarian options. They even packed a breakfast for us since we had to take an early morning train. The staff is friendly and helpful. We especially want to thank Eva who served us every day who was absolutely wonderful and a pleasure to speak with.

I LOVED this hotel!! We were greeted with some wine upon arrival by the nicest young lady! Our room was beyond gorgeous!!! There is no a/c because it is Norway, so it was a bit warm during our visit. We opened our windows and there is a bit of pedestrian noise as there are AWESOME pubs and restaurants all below, but we didn’t mind at all. I always like to try new places, but if I am ever back, wouldn't think of staying anywhere else! We felt so lucky so have stayed at the most beautiful hotel with the best location in Bergen!! Btw, please make a reservation at the restaurant, I would rank my steak dinner in the top 10 best entrees I’ve ever eaten.

Amazing boutique hotel. Great ambiance, lovely and helpful staff. The room (petite chambre) was beautifully decorated and very well appointed. Simple things like having enough space to put your things and plenty of electrical outlets, as well as thoughtful things like the automatic light in the bathroom that shone with red light after bedtime to not interfere with your sleep cycle. It is well located and close to transit. Breakfast was delicious. Do not hesitate to book a room here.

Really nice hotel - just like being in Paris. Loves the atmosphere and the experience where interieor, Music and food all vane together in perfect harmony. All employees were very nice and the food - including breakfast was excellent.

Our room was the grand chamber. It was the largest bed weve seen. The room was large & very quiet.The deco was very Parisienne and fun. I was unwell during our stay. The staff were so helpful & friendly. Getting me cups tea ( complmentary) and soup delivered to my room. Highly recommend

All staff were welcoming and service minded. Hotel was clean and cozy. Wonderfull atmosphere, recommended.
