Cozy like a hostel with lot of communal spaces and yet a distinguished standard of comfort any hotel could be proud of.

With the renovated facade of an older building, this hostel is really outstanding. I haven't been to a better place in NZ or Australia yet... The room of 8 people was spacious, we had two en-suite bathrooms, towels were provided, there were various facilities like the Library, Zen Room, Study Room, etc. done in a very stylish way. I'm not surprised that the building received an award.. The kitchen area was nice, too, I just don't understand why it's so small for a hostel of this size (4 levels with lots of rooms). There could have been some trays or small shelves next to the beds, too, which many other less amazing hostels do have. Very small details, though! Overall, I LOVED this place. Oh, and the bar downstairs (Rambler) is a great venue as well! It feels like you're in something much more expensive than a hostel.

The kitchen was very small for the size of the hostel. There weren't any bedside shelves/trays for personal items like glasses and phones. Can't really complain much, though.

I booked from.10th to 15th. but the key suddenly stopped working on the 12th I had a shock. apparently there was some error and the bed was also wrongly allocated LUCKILY...I didn't need to shift. but other than this...it is fine. oh but the staff quickly solved it for me. which was good jsut that little inconvenience that didn't affect the experience there much.

Das Hotel liegt im Zentrum von Christchurch, sehr gute öffentliche Verkehrsanbindung, gebührenpflichtiger Parkplatz vor dem Hotel. Zimmer sehr schön und ruhig, auch von der Größe her passend. Wer also die Stadt erkunden will ist gut bedient.

Das Frühstück ist zwar günstig, jedoch ausbaufähig. Es steht eine von vier warme Speisen zur Auswahl und dazu jeweils ein Heißgetränk, alles andere muss man extra bezahlen.
