the hotel is located literally on the doorstep of the favela - at night it was nosy and dogs barking and very unsavoury persons were lurking. The area is unsafe and dark around the hotel and one cannot go for a stroll at all; the transportation is limited and one has to use Uber service - would not recommend as far from Leblon and Copacabana beach. The hotel has swimming pool but no entertainment or shopping facitlities.

This place was fantastic, the staff were hands down the best. Very accommodating, I felt like I made friends with them by the time I left.

This is by far one of the nicest hotels in Rio. The service was excellent, the beach and pool was beautiful and the views spectacular. You do have to uber to get around, but it is easy and affordable.

Housekeeping was very poor never serviced the room well. failed to top up shampoo and soap in the bathroom. Limited hot water for several days. Front desk slow. Stayed at this hotel many times disappointed this time.

The facility is beautiful, we had ocean view room and we really could hear the ocean even with the windows close!! Consider to book the breakfast because there is nothing around but you have a Nespresso machine in your room. The hotel has a favelas on the other side of the street but we always felt safe and we used to walk to the hotel sometimes.

My original reservation which I made in February was anulled and I had to pay 3x times the cost to stay in this Hotel, which i needed because i was attending a congress here.
The cost vs. the quality of the hotel, infrastructure, services and food is not worth it.
Terrible experience, never coming back.

What a pleasant surprise! Great location with a private small beach, walkable/easy bike ride to Leblon and Ipanema, excellence in service, gorgeous setting surrounded by nature. This resort is probably the best cost/benefit surrounded by the magnificent natural beauty of Rio! Can’t wait to go back!

house keeping never showed up little own to replenish toiletries, rooms are small, staff were unhelpful in general, cleanliness was awful. also got sick after ordering room service.

It's a little far from the main attractions but we didn't mind it. They had a shuttle to the nearest mall that had a better exchange rate for $$. Everybody was really nice and willing to help.

We liked the property. It was close to the ocean and hearing the ocean rise and fall was wonderful for sleeping and meditation.
I did not like being placed on the 20th floor of the hotel. I'm aversive to heights. The room was fine and we had a partial view of the ocean. But we also had a good view of the favela bored into the mountainside behind the hotel. The favelas are unfortunate living areas of the poor and dispossessed, and this bothered me somewhat.
The food was great. The restaurants took care of us nicely and the concierge was wonderful in answering all of our questions.
