My husband and I visited several tiki bars in the area so that’s why we picked it. It’s a nice room that was clean and quiet. Parking was easy.

Facility shows heavy use. Pool and spa were in rough shape. A room with a balcony was booked through Expedia, but I actually received a room without a balcony. When I brought this issue to their attention, They told me Expedia did not mention the balcony when they booked it. I would have to take it up with Expedia. Extremely expensive ($322/night) but I guess that's California. This was a $150 room elsewhere in the US.

I stayed on the top floor and there was some mechanical device on the roof above my room that made a very loud banging noise continuously. I kindly advised the front desk and they denied having any knowledge of it. There is no way that I could be the first to bring this to their attention. I stayed for 3 nights and got absolutely no sleep. Traveling for business is stressful enough without this aggravation! If they think fixing the issue is too expensive they need to consider the number of customers that will never return to any of their properties. This location is budget quality at premium prices. Shame on them!

The property located right off the freeway in Emeryville was convenient in and out access to SF and Berkeley. The building is well maintained except the back parking is not well kept and near an underpass that looks like it would attract some seedy activities. There was plenty of shopping and dining options which was a plus and the room was comfortable and had all the necessities. Property itself is well maintained and lobby is inviting. I would recommend and would stay here again.

I was traveling on Amtrak with my mom and brother and needed to get a room close to the Amtrak station for an overnight stay between trains. I was hoping the hotel would have a shuttle to pick my mom and me up with my disabled brother but they did not. The good thing is, this property is right across from Amtrak so we left our big bags at Amtrak, took our night bags and grabbed dinner at Public Market across the street before heading to the hotel. I originally requested an ADA room with 2 queen beds but got a king bed instead. I asked Shaun at the front desk if we could be accommodated but seemed a bit confused so I suggested a roll away bed instead and that was a suitable solution. The property is a bit outdated and I wouldn't recommend walking in the area alone or after dark.

It was a wonderful stay with everything nearby, the view of the bay bridge at night was amazing. The hotel was clean and the rooms were nice. The lady who checked us in, MsEnglish, could have been a bit more welcoming with a smile, but overall, it was a good experience for a one-night stay.
