The room was very pleasant. It was cosy and clean.Breakfast was excellent and incredibly varied. The hotel team is always friendly and helpful.

This is a great hotel with accosting staff, best rooms, and the best breakfast buffet I’ve had in a long time. Unfortunately it is tough to sleep with the noise both from the hotel and the city below. Avoid a room near the elevator at all costs since the bass of the lobby music will travel up the elevator not stop until 6am. We changed rooms to find events happen outside the hotel that cause very loud music at all times of the night. This was not a concern in hotels away from the city park during past visits.

A Nightmare Stay I recently stayed at Hotel Norge in Bergen, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a nightmarish experience. Despite not being particularly sensitive to noise and usually being able to sleep soundly even in noisy urban surroundings, my stay was completely ruined by the nonstop, pounding hard disco beats that went on until at least 2:30 AM. It felt like I was trying to sleep above a massive rave party in Ibiza, which made it impossible to get any rest. I was woken up multiple times during the night and ended up having one of the worst nights of sleep I've ever had. The window was hermetically closed and I was on the 8th floor. For a hotel charging 3,000 NOK (nearly 300 USD) per night, it is absolutely unacceptable to offer a room without proper soundproofing and withput warning the customer in advance. I woke up feeling exhausted and far from refreshed, which is the opposite of what you would expect from a stay at a high-end hotel. When I raised the issue with the reception, they apologized and seemed fully aware of the problem. As compensation, they offered a free night within the next year. I cannot recommend Hotel Norge if you're looking for a peaceful and restful stay in Bergen. It's a shame that such a beautiful hotel fails so miserably in providing the basic necessity of a quiet night's sleep. Wonderful hotel right in the heart of Bergen, we were able to walk easily to all the things we had planned for our trip and more! The hotel is gorgeous, the complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious and so is their restaurant on the first floor. The rooms are nice, a bit on the smaller side if you go economical, I imagine the other rooms are bigger if you are willing to pay for those! Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would stay here again!
