The staff were very helpful and welcoming ti the property which was a converted dutch house. Rooms were snug but clean and comfortable. Use the hotel organksed spa for ayurvedic massage/facials which was great. Location was right in fort kochi so was convenient to walk around the area.

It was really superb and y the workers and management went totally above and beyond what was required! I can't recommended them highly enough! Plus the location is excellent.

Poovath is a small boutique hotel with excellent staff courtesy and cleanliness. Would definitely recommend for a quiet getaway to fort kochi.

Front desk staff were fantastic - couldn't do enough for you. Confirmed our train ticket, arranged taxis, contacted onward destination. Excellent breakfast

The hotel was not up to our expectations of a heritage hotel for the money we paid. The bed was not very comfortable, we thought we would get an inner spring mattress. You also had to let the shower run for 10mins before any warm water came through . The breakfast was also very average. The staff however were very friendly and welcoming and helpful with questions.

Old building renovated beautifully. Lovely pool. Staff seem to be still in training mode but very willing. Good experience - would definitely stay there again

Terrific sense of history well located to the venues of the Kochi Biennale! The room on the ground floor just looked into a wall with no view and little natural light. The hotel has no liquor license. It's best to request one of the rooms on the upper floor facing the Sea.

Service was terrible. We had no hot water on first night or following morning. Staff offered no solution or recompense for this. We had to continue to insist it was fixed otherwise they would have done nothing about it. On our final night and morning of departure, again we had no hot water. They advertise room service but do not tell you the phone number to contact them. They say there is tea making facilites in the room but there were not (and we were upgraded!). The restaurant is supposed to be open all day but there are no staff present so you can sit for a long time waiting for service with no way to contact them. We used their laundry service and clothes came back stained and dirtier than when put in. When we complained, staff tried to suggest that the stains had been there when the laundry was put in, which was not true. At least they did not charge us for that. When we arrived out bedroom floor was very dirty, but this was resolved the following morning by house keeping.

Shower was too Complicated to Operate. The Bath Tub should have been Fixed to the Wall and Cemented to the Ground,Also the Bath Tub should have had a Shower Curtain. As a Result Water fell on the ground. 'No Hot water'. There was Nothing to See around the Hotel, Except the Beach which was Crowded and with Pebbles, so No chance to Swim in Fort Kochi. There should be a Big Table for Guest to Write Or Check the internet, But instead a Small Table where Two Plates & a Pot of Coffee for Two Could Not Properly Fit, in the Room. I Didnt see anyone Visiting the Restaurant for Diner in Poovath Hotel Compared to Oceanic. Staff were Nice & Friendly, No doubt. Overall the Hotel should Not Cost more then 70$. Thank You.

Good stay with small surprises like A/C malfunction and cemetery view with a glimpse of the ocean. Yet easily recommended. Excellent location and staff. Will stay again if visit kochi again.
