The hotel room was very good, clean and adequate space with a wonderful view. Location was good though required walking up hill to access if no car. The walk from the city is very doable and pleasant on the tree lined path. Transportation voucher a big plus.
The breakfast was not good. Very poor selections. No tea or coffee in the morning offered except if you got the breakfast buffet. Charge for a coffee machine in the room.

Overall we had a fine stay here. There are few things to note before booking that we wish we knew. Firstly the property is up a hill and about 7 min walk from the bus stop. In the heat it’s not the easiest walk (especially with luggage). The property is quite old, there is no air conditioning, and it seems no updates have been done since original construction. Our room was small and without basic amenities we expected for the price (no fridge, coffee/tea, safe for belongings). The bed and pillows were not comfortable. The walls are thin and you can hear everything happening in the hall and neighbouring rooms. The one upside was the staff were very nice and accommodating. Thankfully they were able to find us a fan for the room given the extreme heat. We would not be keen to stay here again but if you are low maintenance it would probably be fine for a short stay.

I understand it was advertised with not ac but the fans where not enough. No restaurant available as advertised, too old. If you are walking good luck, it is in a hill

check-in July 12 - 1 night stay - Nothing Royal - just the name - despite a great location and the kindless of Director who tried his best to accommodate our stay - we re-packed and left hotel after 1 hour - I surely waisted $ 270.00 but life is too short for a bad sleep - Property is in poor condition in need of major renovation - you can hear people next door (room) coughing talking even farting - it is unfortunate for the staff who is actually doing a great job - I was told that I would be contacted by upper Management - as of today ... no news. Wonderful hotel near the casino. Great location as it was easy to walk or take a bus into the downtown area. Beds are very comfortable and we had a great view of the lake. Only downside is it is a up a hill so if you’re walking with luggage, it’s a bit of a haul but definitely doable … would certainly stay here again

This property was only a few blocks off the man tourist route but was quiet and relaxing. Best beds of six hotels during our trip. We loved the helpful service provided by the front desk clerk Adrian. It was nice to return to the scenic view from the veranda after a day of sightseeing.

Quaint Hotel with a beautiful lobby and friendly staff. The view from our 4th floor room was absolutely stunning! The rooms are a bit dated and basic so I highly recommend rooms with the lake view. We were here during Eurocup and they had the games on a very large screen, ready with the beer and wine!

The location is at the further east end from the old town. Room is clean and the staff is friendly. They gave me a room with the lake view. This is a nice place for a solo traveler.

Beautifully appointed, walking distance to lake promenade & downtown. Clean, spacious & meticulously cared for. Breakfast @35Francs overpriced. No cocktail lounge staff available thus closed during stay and there weren’t any immediate options close by.

An older hotel but our room has excellent beautiful view of Lake Lucerne. Convenient access to free public transportation, it's a 5-6 minutes walk to the bus stop, a slight incline of a small hill and steps.

Great hotel with the breathtaking view of the lake. Great staff, clean, in a quiet yet center location. Wry close proximity to the train station. Walkable distance. Loved it and highly recommended.

The desk, when he heard us discussing how nice a glass of wine, offered to open the bar and provided us both wine and beer. The staff was very welcoming and supportive. Also, the facility, while very “experienced” was very well maintained. Great view from the individual patio,
