The hotel has an enviable location on Lake Lucerne. The views from both the terrace and room were breathtaking. The room was clean, comfortable and well presented. My children loved sleeping upstairs in the eves. The food is local, generous and well prepared. You eat literally sitting yards from the lake with the mountains facing you. The main plus though are the staff. They are extremely professional, know their role and do a great job in allowing ypu to have a fantastic stay. I will definitely come back. If you like their website, you will love the hotel and the staff.

Hotel Nidwaldernhof was a little out of the way but totally worth it for the views from the restaurant, the incredible dinner and best breakfast buffet on our entire "grand tour of Switzerland" trip. The pillows could be replaced and the A/C was on the fritz due to the rain the night before. But the lodging was a great deal for the free amazing breakfast.

Outstanding: environment, service, cuisine. Easy access from highway, lake access, parking, beautiful rooms and views. We are practically planning driving routes now to require an overnight there. That's a top-notch hotel! Their consistent concept about what's important is winning.

Excellent hotel with under cover parking for free . If staying more than a night ask for the half board option as will save you some money . The ferry to Lucerne was worth the trip , also a good base to do some if not most of the attractions

Great hotel, good parking for cars and vans, lovely rooms , spacious , comfortable, great balcony with amazing views! And breakfast was very good. Glad i book here.

We had a fabulous times at this hotel and hiking up to the top of the mountain around the area, such a great area to spend times with friends or even family for whom like peaceful time.
We love every moment staying there will be back again for definite .
All the natural settings there such a healing place to be .

Absolutely fabulous location, right on the edge of Lake Lucerne. Restaurant is waterside with magical views over the lake. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Finish in the rooms was to a modern high standard. The shower was a little tight! We had a 2 room family suite where the beds were very comfortable. I would love to stay again.

We are stationed in Germany and are able to do weekend trips to the Alps and other areas. This hotel was a treat for us and cost around 183.00 USD. The food was great. The atmosphere was nice. The garage was perfect and covered. The view was amazing. When the owner found out that our daughter would not need a crib, he upgraded us to an ocean view for free. The room was quiet and nice. The breakfast buffet was elegant and delicious. It is directly on the lake and is a very romantic location. The surrounding area is nice and quaint, yet still retains the scenic Swiss feel.

We stayed 3 nights during the off season. The town is very quiet compared to nearby Lucern. The view of the lake from the hotel is spectacular - especially the lights at night on the opposite shore.

Bathrooms are small but impressively clean, modern, and brand new. We had our breakfast outside in front of the lake. Most of the food is homemade and delicious.This hotel is a GEM! I cannot understand that it has only 3 stars, it should be 4*. Owners are very concerned about their guests and they make everything to please them.

Very nice property with excellent restaurant and staff. You need to ensure a water front room as a few of the rooms on the street side are spartan.
