James, the manager was helpful at check in as he provided information about where to eat etc. We really appreciate the room upgrade. The hotel is quaint and pretty. The chambermaid is new therefore the bed was not properly made up on our 2nd night.

There were many things to like about the accomodation. It was super clean, bed was comfy, character of the old building remains but with modern conveniences. The shower pressure was great. The mini bar was actually honestly priced but i didnt use it. Checkin was old fashioned but easy. The only couple of things that i questioned was the old fashioned key entry to the room doors i felt was a little unsafe and the aircon temp couldnt be changed and was only for heating but if a cooler temp was reqd i had to open the window. Bear in mind that there is a primary school right next door so if you are trying to sleep during the weekdays, theres quite a bit of noise coming through when they are outside. Overall, it was a great deal and i would stay their again. Just not in Summer as im afraid it might be too warm.

Comfortable bed and lots of amenities in the room for a relaxing stay. The deep bath was fabulous and Netflix was a lovely bonus. Will definitely be back.

We received outstanding service with the receptionist very kindly carrying my heavy bag upstairs as the lift wasn’t working. He also gave us a free upgrade to a spa room. The room was spotless. We had a very comfortable stay. Thankyou for having us 😊

Lovely stay, great location and nice deep tub! Asked for extra towels as we had used them the evening before after the bath- but we had to hand one back to get another which was a little strange. Would stay again!

Really nice hotel, great balcony views and spacious suite with multiple rooms. Has a great balcony with excellent views. Couple of quirks to be mindful of;
- Reception closes at 7pm sharp and you could very well get locked out for the night so plan ahead
- 10am checkout no wriggle room in case you’re used to getting an extra hour in the morning
- It’s at the Gorge / West end of town but all the bars and restaurants are on the East side

Lovely stay in a beautiful bed. The view over Launceston is lovely. James the host was very welcoming and happy to oblige. Great location with an easy walk to breakfast and into town for dinner. Also nice and close to the walk at Cataract Gorge which is stunning.

We were upgraded to a king suite which was very spacious. After a 27-hour journey from London this was much appreciated. The location is quiet and offers ample parking.
Breakfast is not provided but Cuccina Café is only a few minutes walk and offers a great menu. Dynasty Chinese restaurant is also a short walk and has a wide choice.

Do not book a stay here if you arrive on the Spirit the same day, reception expected us to cover 100 km in 1 hr by 8.30pm- we disembarked at 7.46pm!
We got lost and reception went home rating us as a no show even though we were in contact. We lost our room charge for the night! He could have left the key somewhere.
