Wonderful place and very dog friendly.
At first glance you may think its too nice for them to be accepting of our canine friends, however this isnt the case. Also, the surrounding area is beautiful and dining excellent.

Had a wonderful stay at the The Plough Inn - it's in a stunning location and was a perfect base for many wonderful walks and outdoor adventures. The room was cosy and beautifully appointed and the breakfast was delicious! All the staff were kind, friendly, helpful, warm and welcoming. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

I stayed in shepherding hut. In a large field bordering a river – very picture and very quiet. Pub was busy but not noisy. Breakfast was well cooked and plentiful with a huge choice.

Our stay was excellent from the welcoming staff to the last moment we left. The food is exceptional, and good value (slightly costly, but worth it).
We highly recommend this for its location and quality.

Lovely, wood for fire provided with everything to light it. Shower is hot straight away. Bluetooth speaker built in and the cabin is lovely and warm with central heating and the fire… honestly 10/10

Staff were incredible, bed was comfy. Only issue was the shower did not get hot. You would have the odd 30sec blast and then would go luke warm again. Which after a day out and about outside was not ideal so I was left cold and had to layer up in clothes and in the bed until the heating kicked in from turning on the radiators.

Room was clean and tidy, bed comfortable. The food was very good. I suggest you try the scallops with black pudding - excellent. Location is good. Short walk to Hathersage where plenty of amenities. This is the second time we have stayed at the Plough Inn.
