I recently stayed in a double room located in the basement, which unfortunately came with several drawbacks. The most pressing issue was the complete lack of network coverage—only emergency calls were possible. To make matters worse, the Wi-Fi signal was inconsistent, constantly going on and off in that area.
While the room was spacious, it had a noticeable smell of mould, and there were visible patches of mould on the walls, which made the stay uncomfortable. Additionally, the room lacked a desk or table, making it impossible to catch up on work, especially with the poor connection.
The mattress was another downside—it was so thin that I could feel the springs, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. I believe it’s time for the property to replace it.
On a positive note, the staff were friendly, and the place appeared clean overall. However, the building itself is very old and would benefit from significant updates.
Unfortunately, despite the affordable price, I wouldn’t book this room again due to the issues mentioned above.

Dirty laundry in a bag on the floor, takeaway containers on the window sill with the previous occupants uneaten food in. Bugs!!

Close to Victoria Coach Station, which was a huge priority.
Expensive for what was on offer, but it was the cheapest i could find at short notice.

First room had broken hinge for the door, changed room which had a broken bed!! So uncomfortable and so much banging late at night so you get hardly any sleep. Not worth the cheaper price at all!!

It's a budget hotel, therefore it was adequate for my needs.
Positives - easy check in, great location, excellent price, decent bed/clean bedding, well maintained communal areas.
Negatives - Lock broken on the room, Room smelled of and had damp/mould, leaking shower.

When I got to my room the tv did not work the window there wil as a massive gap that just let the cold in the was ivy and branches growing through the gaps in the window which I was getting bugs on me all night so could not sleep and the staff was very rude when I went to complain about it and did nothing to resolve the issue so I would like a refund

The stay was for my daughter and her friend. They felt unsafe as were unable to lock the bedroom door, it looked like there was a two way mirror and a camera present in the room also which made them feel very vulnerable. They chose to remain fully clothed in their coats and didn’t really sleep throughout the night.

Very damp in the room, new paint on existing damp walls already lifting. No tv remote.

Absolutely disgusting hotel! First room was on the top floor and was so bad and smoking was clearly done here that we moved.. 2nd no much better but you know what I would not even let rats stay here!! Dirty, mouldy.. no tea/coffee even if there was I would avoid.. no house keeping, no smoking yet smelt so bad of smoke! Bed was stained to high heaven .. funky substance on the wall … HOTELS.COM SHOULD BE ASHAMED in putting there name to this!! AVOID they should be closed down! If I could load more pictures I would!

Think it was disgusting how they let 2 18 year old boys not stay at 2 in the morning and left them on the streets

Room was a single they gave me double, in basement, number 21 seemed to be an in joke. 1 blanket 1 sheet. Heating ok. Toilet had black slime in it. Shower missing side panel, room small no light. Dismal, depressing and the worst service, no signal, wifi weak awful

The door from the bathroom blocked and someone had to come and open.
Everything there is very old and dirty
But for the value and the location i don't give the worst review!

Well what can i say its a 1 star hotel.. so don't expect much at all. Not very clean at all and not much care goes into the rooms. I would take hand sanitizer with you for sure. No towles, no tea or coffe just about got a kettle and a stained cup. Be wear.

Awful. The bed was the worst I’ve ever slept in, all I felt was metal springs on my back. The guy at the desk said he gave me the double room which I only requested single room. It was not, however double room. Furthermore they mention free WiFi on their website when they charge money for it only cash! Sketchy!
