Villa Escapar is a sizeable home and large enough for big groups/families. The house is exactly as described. Ruby and Aresenio are amazing! They truly you want you to relax and enjoy your vacation with wonderful attention to detail. The food was delicious. We had them prepare most of our meals, except for the few we ate out.. Highly recommend this property.

My experience was amazing. The house and views were spectacular. The host were superb! The service was excellent. And there were baby turtles! I would recommend 10/10. I hope i can return and stay again soon. Ruby and Arsenio made the trip extra special with their accommodations and help during our stay. It was a great experience.

Trip was magical…Rubi and Arsenio made the difference, turning a beautiful house into a home. We are a family of nine, 3 generations ages 5 to 73. We travel often, far and wide and love villas for the togetherness they provide. We count this as one of our best experiences, photos don’t do it full justice. 5 en-suite bedrooms, beautifully decorated, two with views to die for, provide ample & comfortable room for all. The family loved the pool, shade provided by palapas, the roof top at sunset and the layout of property and shared spaces. Beach was miraculous for nature lovers, gifts of shells and sea fans were nonstop. Hundreds of turtles were born while we were there and if you wake for sunrise you’ll catch eggs being laid, mamas covering nests & traveling back to the sea. A pure turquoise water cenote and beach front restaurant (recommended by Arsenio) are within walking distance and worth the time. Must admit you had to pry us away from the property as Arsenio and Rubi provide unparalleled meals and housekeeping tailored to your needs …we had a vegan and a gluten/corn intolerant eater in our midst. They actually crafted for our specific needs at each meal, even baking crepes with gluten free flour! All dishes rivaled 5 star restaurants, flaming desserts and all! Arsenio watches carefully and magically solves all issues, instantly, often clairvoyantly. Rubi keeps an immaculate house, with fresh soft towels everywhere. They are always near, cheerful but not intrusive. Property manager was also attentive and kind. Addressing others concerns: there are multiple TVs, fine mattresses /linens, 24 hour security; the entry road was well packed dirt and graded, no construction noise at our time and for those that don’t expect increased seaweed in August you just haven’t travelled (this year in particular), it’s a seasonal event. One that didn’t keep us from the ocean BTW. Water shoes are needed in the water, the beach is sandy, has turtle holes and is not too rocky. We recommend a car over taxis. We fished, caught tons & our 5 year old watched Daddy pull in a barracuda (Arsenio thoughtfully arranged a memorable experience for his 1st time). Massages and pedicures were arranged on no notice, all superb. Bottom line: don’t hesitate. I’ll let you discover the wonders of Mexico, we’ve been there a few times before. Not sure where to start but lets just say this was an amazing house and if your on the fence, book it! We celebrated my husbands recent retirement with friends and family. We decided to use the food services through Ruby and Arsenio. What a fantastic option and the food was amazing. Every meal was prepared so nice and was so good. It was very reasonable and not having to cook or clean was a added bonus. The fresh margaritas were a hit and enjoyed by all of us( 8 total in party). We normally stay in resorts when we visit Mexico and this was the first time renting a home. The view from the home was breathtaking and it was also turtle time and we were able to see large turtles right on the beach from the house laying eggs, and babies hatching. One word of advise head to Sam's club or other grocery store before you arrive to pick up essentials and alcohol. The taxis to and from the store can get pricey. We are already planning to come back next year, Thank you John for supplying us with a great place to stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Escapar. The home is lovely, the beds comfortable, and the best part was Arsenio and Rubi. They make the house a home. :) We went with our teenage and young adult kids and their friends, after not traveling to Mexico for over a decade, and really had a great time. We felt very safe, explored a lot, and enjoyed ourselves. Some feedback that is important. We were there mid-June, and all up and down the coast, the sargassum seaweed is an issue. The locals are trying to keep up with it, but it is physically impossible. I wish the world would step in and help. We are told October thru April is less of an issue, but we were startled at the amount and how it impacted the normally turquoise water. While we typically shop local and cook in the evenings for our large group, the kitchen in the home truly belongs to Arsenio and Rubi, so we had them prepare most of our meals. They. Were. Amazing!! Even had them teach us some of their secrets!! So be ready with cash because you will want them to cook for you. Truly, a vacation. If you tell them you want food ready upon arrival like we did, you will arrive to the best aromas ever, and delicious food and drinks to match. Cannot say enough good things about them. The items that I didn't give a 5 were location because of the seaweed and really rocky beach entry, leaving the water in the area not really swimmable. The beach was kind of crushed shells, so you needed shoes, BUT, the turtles were nesting so we had a little biology class right in front of the house! The other thing is, the road leading to the house. The neighborhood is well off of the highway, in a developing area, but the road is unpaved, and with frequent rains, it was pretty messy for driving and for our morning walks. It will be really great once they pave it. Overall, we loved our stay at Escapar, true relaxation and amazing food, comfortable beds, gorgeous sunsets from the roof top porch. The issues we had were not in the owner's control, but it is better to know before you go. I would definitely stay there again and get spoiled by Rubi and Arsenio.

The house was wonderful for our family of 11. And the caretakers, who also function as cooks, were phenomenal. Thank you Arsenio & Rubi for hosting us so well!

We loved everything about our trip to Mexico but most memorable, for us and for our kids, was the incredible service and hosting provided by Arsenio and Rubi. The house is in a beautiful location, very safe, and very clean. Our kids enjoyed being in the pool by the ocean from sun up to sun down. Arsenio and Rubi prepared almost all of our meals for us. The food was fantastic and my children loved seeing how Rubi handmade the tortillas. We felt so well-cared for the entire time we were there. A house is a house, but Arsenio and Rubi made this a home away from home for us.

This property is nothing short of amazing with a breathtaking view!!!!! The caretakers were very attentive without being too intrusive and overly exceeded our expectations! We learned to make tortillas and when I had gotten an upset stomach Arsenio made me tea without even asking! I rate Arsenio and Rubi a 10/10 because they were just that great! They helped arrange our covid testing, massages and transportation into the city. The only two complaints our group had was that they are in dire need of new linens ex: towels, washcloths and sheets. They were clean yet stained so we were displeased with that and also no tvs in the rooms. A part of unwinding with your partner could be watching your favorite show while cuddling and unfortunately we couldn’t do that. Otherwise, I’d highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time!! The house was beautiful & a great space to our 2 families! We had 6 kids and 4 adults. The pool and ocean view was breathing taking! Ruby and Arseneo took such good care of us! Made us delicious food ,cleaned our rooms and made sure we had plenty of drinks. We would definitely recommend & would like to come back some day!!

Wonderful vacation with 8 wonderful people. House was spacious & very beautiful. The view was unbelievable; however, what set this vacation apart from any other were Arsenio & Ruby. Such amazing people - very friendly & attentive. They definitely went out of their way to make sure we all were happy, having fun & had everything we needed. Not to mention the food & drinks were amazing. I would highly recommend spending the lil extra money for the meals. Arsenio went over each meal w/ us & did whatever grocery shopping was needed. Arsenio also made calls & helped us with our excursions as well. I would recommend this house for several reasons, it was definitely a beautiful house with a gorgeous view but most importantly Arsenio & Ruby are what made it special..

We had a great stay at Villa Escapar. It is beautifully situated on the water, with a nice beach. The pool is a good size, and the rooms are all very nice. Ruby and Arsenio are both terrific. They are friendly, helpful, and kind. They made us breakfast every day, two lunches, and five meals. All were fantastic. Arsenio also arranged transportation for us for the two nights we went to dinner in Tulum, and arranged COVID testing in the Villa. The road between the highway and the villa was in very rough shape when we were there—the result of the preceding rainy season and a dirt road. We were happy to be driving an SUV. It is due to be graded the week of November 15 and should then be better. All in all, a great, relaxing week. So appreciated after a long pandemic.

We stayed at Villa Escapar for a couples 40th birthday trip and had an amazing time! I do not have enough good things to say about Arsenio and Ruby!! When I saw there was an option for a chef I had no idea that the chef would be as talented as Arsenio! Every meal was absolutely delicious! He and Ruby were always available if we needed anything and couldn’t have been more warm and friendly. Ruby makes delicious margaritas and she made pitcher after pitcher for us! The views from the house are absolutely beautiful. Definitely bring water shoes if you plan to go into the ocean! The drive once in the gated community took much longer than expected due to the road being washed away from rain, so be prepared for about a 20 minute drive once you enter the community. The owner was incredibly communicative and set up food and drinks upon our arrival which was so appreciated! Would definitely recommend Villa Escapar!

From the moment we arrived we were blown away! Ruby & Arsenio made us feel at home immediately with great food and drinks. Every view was spectacular. The pool was amazing. I cried when I left and we can’t wait to return. Thank you all for the amazing trip!!!!!

We rented this villa for my birthday and it was magical! The first night we were lucky enough to see a mama sea turtle come ashore to lay eggs and many baby sea turtles hatch and make their way into the ocean. The moon rising over the ocean each night was breathtaking and Rubi and Arsenio made us feel like we were home, not to mention their delicious food and drinks! *chef kiss* This may have to be my new birthday tradition. Thank you, both for making this birthday and vacation so special.

Our group of 9 had an amazing stay at Villa Escapar. The view from the home is amazing. The caretakers, Ruby and Arsenio, truly made the stay the best experience. They became like family. They cooked amazing meals, made delicious drinks, coordinated transportation, and were there for anything we needed. We miss them and the beautiful home already! We got to see turtles lay eggs out on the beach each night and hundreds of baby turtles. It was amazing. I’d recommend renting a vehicle if you plan on going out and about. Taxis got rather expensive from our location. There are a couple of restaurants in the gated community; about a 30 minute walk. I will definitely come back and I highly recommend having Arsenio and Ruby handle the food. It’s low cost and delicious.

Arsenio and Ruby where wonderful, food was always good. I would probably go a different time of year next time due to seaweed. I would also recommend that the owner of property have a car onsight for them to be able to use. Strongly recommend renting a car to stay on this property it was very expensive for driving services. I would definitely come back to this particular home to stay with a group of friends.

The property is stunning 🌴 The host was great at communication and coordinating our arrival and food service. The hospitality and cooking (so delicious) by Arsenio and Ruby made this trip effortless and unforgettable! Doesn’t get any better than Villa Escapar … life is good!

Words cannot describe the beauty of this place. Arsenio was our chef and house keeper and assistant. Again, words can not describe the level of service provided by Arsenio. The hospitality was amazing. Everything was amazing. Thank you Arsenio! You rock!

Couldn't imagine a better experience!!!

My friends and family joined me to celebrate my birthday in Tulum, and we stayed at Villa Escapar. I could not have selected a better place to stay. Not only is the house absolutely stunning (the photos on this page should be updated because the house is even more beautiful in person), but the staff, Arsenio and Rubi (husband and wife), were the most attentive, warm, and welcoming staff I have ever experienced in all my travels. Arsenio and Rubi made sure we were having an excellent experience from start to finish. They made us breakfast, lunch and dinner, and not a single meal disappointed. Each meal was delicious. They cleaned our rooms every day we were there. They took photos of the group, decorated for my birthday, and gave recommendations on cenotes to visit and other excursions. Rubi even steamed some of the guest’s clothes for my birthday dinner. They both speak great English, so you will have no problem communicating with them if you do not speak Spanish. They made my birthday perfect. As for the house, it is immaculately clean. The 5 bedrooms are spacious, each with a bathroom and most have beautiful rain-showers in the bathrooms. There is a second floor terrace and then a massive rooftop. The rooftop has breathtaking views and a tiki hut with a large circular couch for sunset happy hours. The foyer entrance of the home has a massive staircase with a fountain in the center and is a great place for photos with your guests. The infinity pool has bar stools in the water, which we sat at while Rubi and Arsenio served us drinks. A few steps down from the pool and you’re on the beach. We walked the beach at night and saw a massive sea turtle coming to its nest. As an FYI, you should bring water shoes because the beach is a bit rocky. Villa Escapar also offers massages. Alma and her colleague (the masseuses) came to the property and gave the guests massages on the terrace. All of my guests receive massages on a regular basis and many said it was the best massage they ever had. All in all - from a well-traveled person’s perspective, this house gives a top tier luxury experience and was one of my favorite trips I’ve taken. I highly recommend and will likely be coming back.

The house was beautiful and exactly what we expected as far as location and space. Our only problem was the caretakers who were brand new. It was not worth having them cook meals, the food was subpar. The meals were not what was promised on the menu and the meals we requested were not the ones always cooked. The new caretakers were unaware of many things in the house. The hot water stopped working and took 2 days to fix. They didn’t know how to work the fountains. I hope with more training and time on the property they will improve but be aware of this change when booking!

House and property were beautiful, just as described. House caretakers very friendly and was so nice to have them cook meals for the group as needed- Delicious! House was very clean within walking distance to a small cenote in the neighborhood where you can scuba/snorkle.

We booked a girls trip to this amazingly Beautiful property. The caretakers for the house were very attentive. Bonus for Luisa cooking almost daily, made it so convenient, we didn’t want to leave the property. Everybody enjoyed their stay. Would definitely recommend and rent again.

Great Vacations

We stayed for a week at Villa Escapar with another family. Both families have young kids. Luisa and Manuel took fantastic care of us. Luisa prepared great meals and Manuel cleaned the beach every day and even took us to the beach down the road and took us snorkeling. The beach at Villa Escapar is pretty rocky/coral-covered. You need to bring water shoes if you want to go in the water. Our teenager stepped on a sea urchin in the coral the first day we were there. We drove into Tulum and purchased shoes at the Chedraui in town. We drove into Tulum and spent the day at Ziggy’s Beach Club — the beach there is free of coral/rocks. Villa Escapar is beautiful and very well maintained by Luisa and Manuel. We loook forward to visiting again.
