Property is sitting on the best beach on this coast! The beach is absolutely gorgeous with long stratch of white sand and palm trees. There was plenty of loungers at the beach and palm trees create a lot of shade, much better than beach palapas at other resorts. Coates are also a great attraction at this resort - there are lots of them and they are extremely cute! The juice bar at the beach is also very nice. Personnel throughout the resort is very nice and helpful.Tapas restaurant was great!

We have been to Catalonia Playa Maroma 4 times over the years and it has always been our 1st choice when we travel to Rivera Maya. Unfortunately I have to say that the quality of this resort somewhat deteriorated since we were there last time (about 7 years ago). Our room (Privileged) looked dated, with chipped paint, cracked sink, no decor - looked more like 3* than 5*. The quality and taste of food at specialty restaurants was so-so. The Bloved (available to Privileged only) restaurant was a huge disappointment, and so was the Mexican restaurant. The fact that we were specifically told that we can select 1 appetizers and 1 main dish was also a little odd for an all-inclusivе. The portions were quite small (and we are light-eaters). We chose Catalonia Playa Maroma to celebrate my 50th birthday (with my husband and son). My husband wrote to Catalonia in advance of our trip hoping that the resort would do something special for us. We got a piece of cake delivered to our room in the afternoon. Thank you, but It feels like resort could have done something a little more special given we were repeat customers and this was a big bday. We have been to Catalonia Playa Multiple times and we have recommended this resort to many friends, but unfortunately this time around it was a disappointment so we will, probably, have to look elsewhere next time we go to Riviera Maya.

Il più bel resort in cui io sia mai stata: è stata la conclusione del nostro viaggio itinerante in Messico e non avrei potuto chiedere di meglio! Tutto bellissimo: la spiaggia, i servizi, le piscine, tantissimi ristoranti e punti dove mangiare e bellissimo il fatto di essere veramente immersi nella foresta messicana!! Un'esperienza stupenda e ci sarei stata volentieri qualche giorno in più!

Va da sè che essendo immersa nella foresta Messicana gli animali che si possono vedere sono tanti. Il resort in particolare è piuttosto infestato dai Coati che hanno purtroppo capito che i turisti abbandonano cibo e bibite e se ne approfittano. Il personale anche volendo non riesce benissimo a stare dietro a questa cosa e si assistono a scene di coati che rubano cibo agli ospiti, cercano di aprire gli zaini, salgono sui tavoli... Noi abbiamo scelto questo resort proprio per la presenza dei coati perchè ci incuriosiva da morire e ci siamo fatti delle grandissime risate, ma se siete persone che si impressionano per gli animali selvatici o non ne gradiscono la presenza forse non è il resort per voi!

L’établissement est incroyable beau, il est en plein nature avec ses palmiers et animaux sauvages qui se balade dans l’hôtel. On sent le dépaysement. Le buffet est incroyable ainsi que les restaurants à la carte. La piscine est top. Les chambres sont confortables. C’est un club vacances de luxe je conseille vivement

La salle de sport est un peu petite et peu équiper mais ça fait l’affaire. Les animations ne sont pas extraordinaires

This hotel could have potential because of the location. Playa Maroma is very nice compared to other beaches. well… depending on when you go there is some algues around the beach but that’s pretty clean and water is beautiful.

sincerely the food is not worth it. Most of the time when you go to the buffet, everything is empty. there is lack of choice and most of things have any taste. If you think you’re going to find better in the restaurants well… know that first you have to reserve each restaurant 2 days before because there is only a few tables and every day is full. Then food is not good except from the Japanese where you can find some good sushi’s made in front of you. I don’t know if that’s this hotel but don’t reserve the excursions there because that’s expensive and absolutely not worth it you can find way better in internet. plus, the girl lied about a lot of details. rooms are not well cleaned, and most of time things were missing like shampoo or towels. they make you believe that you are kind of privileged because you booked a premium luxe but that’s the same rooms than the others we met that they were regular. the hotel have lack of ambiance. friends told me they had shows and lot of animation at their hotels and this one is dead. I saw some people put their own music because there was any at the pool. we asked if we could have the room two hours at the check out because we had a late flight and a kid. we wanted to enjoy a little more the pool. they told us okay in the morning and at 12:00 they told us that wasn’t possible. we waited 3h at the lobby without doing anything. there is preference to people who give tips at the bar or at the pool. they forgive you if you don’t give them. finally Manager has lack of experience I mean when you’re dealing with issues you try to find solutions. she didn’t know anything she seemed lost. there is some staff who could let their job to other persons who want to work because really they are not smiling. when you ask them something they seemed bored or they answered like you disturbed them. But I want to thank people from the Japanese, Giovanny, guys wearing green t-shirts because they were great.

Alguns restaurantes temáticos podiam ter mais qualidade.
