Breakfast was solid overall. Obviously a great location.

Front desk person who checked us in took off behind the desk to another room with my drivers license and credit card without permission as I was distracted by another employee explaining where to park. This front desk employee was rude and demanding thereafter once I confronted him for basically stealing my personal property and ID. I’ve stayed at Holiday Inns many times among other hotels and I’ve never experienced such terrible behaviour from front desk staff. My parents stayed at the Styabridge next door a few weeks prior to our stay at Holiday Inn and they were extremely disappointed and told us not to stay there so we choose as we often do “the Holiday Inn”. We discussed the matter with the manager the next morning and she could not care less about our concerns or the episode from the night before. Our stays in other cities have been top notch so extremely surprised and utterly disappointed in the St Jacobs location. Facilities could use to increased upkeep and cleaning for sure as well. Doesn’t need to be perfect but certainly noticed this location missed the mark like so many others we’ve stayed at. Hope this is helpful!

We enjoyed the kitchenette facility in our room. The breakfast was excellent, and the coffee was delicious. The bathroom was also well appointed. The staff was very friendly. The hotel was also very quiet.

A bit more attention to cleanliness in corners and baseboards in bathroom.

My bed was not changed and I needed a whole sheet change. Found an unidentified object in my bed. The drain plug in shower would not stay open so I showered in a few inches of water. No fan or blow dryer in bathroom

I loved that they all treated us like we were special! Riya was at the desk when we got there... she explained everything about the facilities to us, and answered our questions about how the billing works.. She was so pleasant! Later we took our room, but we went to ask if we could get a larger room and (I think it was her boss) came and talked to us.. And he was so great! No problem.. up graded us.. and we had a blast.... Everyone we met, was so pleasant! Great staff, right from entering the building to the room cleaning, to the breakfast, to our exit.. We thank them all for a great time.

The bed was very comfy, breakfast was very good

Furniture was very worn. No washcloths in room, partner went for a swim, pool was very cold & he got bit in pool by a bug. I took pictures & we informed the desk of the situation. We suggested they shut down pool & possibly do a cleaning cause there were small children staying in hotel, his bite was quite bad, wouldn't want to see a child get bit. They did nothing, we also talked to day manager but nothing was done.

The pool was horrible. Lots of chlorine, it was so bad that my son had a asthma attack. The whole reason for going was to use the pool but the chlorine was so bad all night and the next day that when you even walked in your eyes were burning very bad and everyone kept complaining about it. The ventilation is horrible in the pool room. No towels were provided in my room i had to ask for them. Their was hair in the bathtub as well. The room itself was beautiful and beds were super cozy. Would not recommend if you need to use the pool with kids

This hotel is very difficult to deal with. The hotel itself was ok. However, trying to get a receipt for the stay afterwards was a nightmare. I spoke to two different people who told me a receipt was not possible because I booked through booking.com. after calling booking.com, I had to remain on the lineforbooking.com to call the hotel to get a receipt. The hotel themselves then emailed the receipt. However, on the phone they told me they are not the ones that charged me and it was billed through booking.com. I highly recommend booking.com but stay away from this hotel. Hampton Inn across the street was amazing. We stayed there for a second night when Holiday Inn would not accommodate a price match, Even though on their website, it states that they price match. Kind of a joke of a place.
