Swimming pool was large, with windows overlooking patio and Missouri River, We were disappointed that there was no outdoor pool or beach (or even water access!). We have frequented the Arrowwood Resort in Alexandria, MN and LOVE that location (with a huge beach, indoor/outdoor pools, golf, horses, huge menu selection). Cedar Shores paled greatly in comparison.
Pictures on the web showed boats, so I wrongly assumed there would be a beach area or lake access — there was neither. Arrived at 8 pm, with little kids who wanted pizza, and sadly there was none (and nothing on the menu they were interested in). Assumed breakfast would be included (price was more than the other comparable Wyndham Hotels, which all had breakfasts included).

Room was clean and comfortable. Our grand daughter's liked the pool and the room.
No plugin charging units for phones or our grand daughter's I Pads. Definitely need to improve plugins for charging devices.

Everything was great. Inly thing i can say is the breakfast in restaurant was nit very good.

We had no hot water for showers the whole time we were there.

Location and views were great
I booked this hotel so I could train in the pool. The pool and hot tub was drained and not in use. There were cracks in all the gypsum board throughout the whole room. It looked like someone slapped our room together. I've seen mobile homes with better finishes. For the most expensive hotel in the area, we were very disappointed.

Room needed some painting and spiffing up. Bathroom shower fixtures seemed outdated and old.

bathroom wasn’t clean, air conditioning made noises and didn’t seem to work very well. Walls had repair done and not painted. Price was high for what we got.

Loud, sustained 4 letter (F word) cussing from outside bar area and beneath my deck with soiled chairs and bird droppings.
Unacceptable LOUD OBNOXIOUS CEILING FAN in bathroom. Fan comes on with light, unfortunately!
Over-rated upgraded room. Not worth the value/cost
Have stayed in more luxurious rooms for half the cost and there was not a problem with TV connectivity.

This hotel would be great for a business convention or large family reunions. The large lobby with seating areas and the nice riverfront area are very conducive to such gatherings. The bar seemed to be a popular spot too. We ate at the on-site restaurant and the food was good. This was a good halfway point to stay for our travels.
We were disappointed when we entered the room and immediately smelled cigarette smoke. Neither of us are smokers and the room was designated as non-smoking. When we spoke with the front desk clerk about it, he said there had been a couple in that room a few days before who blatantly smoked even though they had been asked to stop. Since we were only there one night we just toughed it out but probably would not stay here again. Wish the hotel, knowing about the situation, would have used more effort to cleanse the room of the smell before we arrived.

Our mattress had a hole in the middle of it and we felt like we were rolling into it.

Beautiful location right on the River. Very peaceful and quiet. Exceptional service.
The package of available channels on the cable tv in the room was exceptionally poor!
