The room has that old musty building smell to it when you first walk in. It’s not horrible but not pleasant either. However, the staff keep the room very clean and comfortable. Mattress seems to be new or newish. Bathroom is spotless. It’s perfectly fine for my overnight stay. Definitely not a fancy place but for the price and the location, this motel is a great deal!

The room was basic but very clean and serviceable. The Staff was extremely helpful and responsive to requests . The location was very good . I wish to commend especially the efforts of the staff to satisfy the needs of the guests.

My husband and I had stayed for one night on our way to do a hike to Cascade Falls trailhead. I could say this hotel is a real gem among others of this type. The hotel's building is old but well maintained. Our room was clean with a huge bed, no unpleasant smells, just clean and nice. Everything works well. Location is wonderful. We had a small talk with a host who had given us some hiking advice. It was very nice. Despite it being a rainy morning we enjoyed our hike and were very happy to do that. Would highly recommend this hotel.

I really enjoyed the accommodation. It is well located. Easy to have public transport to the University or other nearby places. The family that runs the hotel is friendly and kind. Always willing to help us. I recommend.

I had an unstable wifi connection in the room I was in. However, I was able to work the same way. The rest was excellent.

My stay at Red Carpet Inn- Blacksburg was PERFECT!! The place was clean, tidy, cozy (yet with ample space in the room for me and my mom), and the location couldn’t have been more ideal! The manager was the most excellent person!! Always very kind and polite, and he went out of his way to help us whenever we had a question or matter. I’ll recommend this place every time, and it will definitely be a go-to for my family in the future.

I have stayed twice at Red Carpet Inn. Both times Harry and his wife have gone out of their way to make my stay comfortable. Harry makes sure he creates not only a comfortable, but a safe environment for his guests.

Great value for money place to stay in Blacksburg. Close to shopping center and has good bus connections to other parts of town. Very helpful staff.
