We have stayed at this property many times and it never gets old. Lovely remote cabin that is well appointed and welcoming. Sitting outside in the peace and quiet is just what we need when we go there. The hosts are responsive and maintain the property well.

The cabin was so cute and cozy, we wished we booked another day. The hosts thought of every need so if you’re wanting a quiet get away, you won’t have to go anywhere. Our stay was very relaxing.

We have visited the cabin before and loved it. We found ourselves with a couple of days before life got really busy again and decided to check if it was open and surprisingly it was! So glad we made the trip. I rarely find a place I can totally relax but this cabin is one of those places. If you are thinking of staying here do it!!

This is now our favorite spot to stay! We’ve stayed in cabins and rentals from Springfield, IL to Grand Rivers, Ky and this beats them all! A wonderful place to relax and enjoy God’s beautiful creation! The hot tub on the back deck was the icing on the cake! The hosts had the house stocked with absolutely everything we needed. It was immaculately well maintained and clean! A beautiful cabin and property!

This was our 3rd time staying at this location. We love it so much. Peace, quite, and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. We definitely will be back again.

Amazing, as always! I was eager to book this place for the solar eclipse. This cabin has everything you need to unplug and unwind. The property is secluded enough to make you feel like you’re 1000 miles from nowhere, but close enough to visit the wineries, Paducah, or Shawnee National Forest, if you’re so inclined. We are so happy to have discovered this place years ago, and will keep coming back to make memories! The hosts are gracious and responsive.

I took my wife here for her birthday weekend & it was refreshing to unplug from the city life. We will definitely be back & enjoy the property again. We visited Metropolis & also Paduka for lunches both days we stayed. Our next visit will will probably stay at the cabin more to enjoy everything the property has to offer.

Perfect place to spend time away from everything. Loved having limited cell service/internet & just spending time “unplugged” for our anniversary weekend. Cabin was as described & is really neat!! Hosts have necessities added if needed. We didn’t leave the property during our stay … just enjoyed spending time together porch chillaxin, fishing, grilling, playing horse shoes, watching movies, hot tub, games, etc. Couldn’t have asked for better weather. Highly recommend this place for your getaway … wish we could’ve stayed longer.

This was our second stay here. My wife and I love this place. The cabin is awesome! There isn’t one thing to dislike about staying here. The seclusion is top notch. The land is incredible. We would find ourselves just sitting there looking out at the pond and rest of the property in awe like the last stay. We were even treated to seeing deer every morning. These owners have everything you’ll need in case you forget something. We couldn’t be happier with our quick getaway. We will definitely be back again! Thanks for everything!

Great time, bed not the best, but overall great property for a short getaway

My boyfriend and I had the BEST time staying here. The owners have gone above and beyond and have thought of every little thing you may need, from movies and games, to spices. Such a lovely cabin and property and we are already planning our next trip!

Great place to get away as a couple. It has everything you need to relax. I will come again during the summer to utilize the land and use the pond. Great for a small family to have some fun right outside the door. However there are a few things to consider that I’m only mentioning to help future buyers and the owners. 1) No internet and local cable only: if you have starlink roam or a hotspot, it’s best to bring with you. The tv is a smart tv but if there isn’t any internet for it to work. The cell service isn’t terrible as I did achieve some 5g but it’s a bit spotty. I made it work as I was only there for a few days but anything longer I’d want better internet service. 2) The lock on the gate is a bit outdated and needs updated. We went in January and the cold will freeze the lock and make it tough to open. (Just bang on it) 3) This is minor but opening and closing the gate everytime you leave is a little annoying as you have to get out of the car, open the gate, drive through, and then get out again to close it. 4) The tv is mounted too high which hurts your neck when trying to watch it. 5) The bed frame creaks when readjusting to get comfortable which can wake up whoever if sleeping with you. We will come back again. Any cons above is only minor and only mentioned to help some prep and have a better time as well as notifying the owners of some simple fixes.

This was our second time staying here. We could not be more pleased. The place is spotless and has everything you can possibly need. There is not another soul anywhere near you, it's the perfect place to just recharge. Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us!

We stayed here for our 15th wedding anniversary. The weather didn't want to cooperate so we weren't able to explore as many of the hiking trails in the area, but the property it self was amazing. Quiet, remote, we saw deer one morning and the the hot tub was very relaxing. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Would definitely stay again
