pat and john were so lovely and welcoming. the room was spacious and well appointed and the bed was so comfortable. room had all you need and more, breakfast was lovely and the hotel was in the perfect location. very quiet and a short wall to town.

Lovely place, very friendly and helpful hosts with plenty of advice on places to visit. Breakfast was lovely, the fruit bowls were delicious nothing was to much trouble, The room was very clean with plenty of teas and coffees and fresh milk in the fridge. The bed was a king size with loads of room will definitely return again. Thank you for a great stay.

The Crowndale was superb, we had three lovely nights in this amazing B&B with wonderful hosts, Pat and John . Unfortunately I can’t give more than five stars but definitely deserve more. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels that really don't even deserve 2 or 3 stars, which are incomparable with the Crowndale . Everything was perfect, spotless room, amazing attention to detail, excellent breakfast with plenty of choices, very quiet location and relaxing and not far from the centre Nothing to dislike, definitely we will return and 100 % I recommend the Crowndale

Many thanks to Pat and John. They met us like good friends. The service was excellent! They offered us better room than we reserve and we were very happy with it! Room is big, cosy, with a big and very comfortable bed. You can order for breakfast anything you want and enjoy fresh fruits. That's was our birthday and we were very happy to spent it here!

Lovely little b&b, situated within walking distance to town and coast. Very warm and welcoming and cosy. Pat and John are such a kind and attentive couple, we were greeted as soon as we arrived and shown to our room. It was clean, we had fresh milk, bottled water, tea/coffee making facilities, and á homemade cupcake. Our bed was really comfortable (which is hard to find these days, we usually take a mattress topper everywhere we go but did not need it here.) The breakfast was delicious, we had a fresh fruit salad, with yoghurt followed by a cooked breakfast.. everything done to your liking. also fruit, cereals, other breakfast bits on offer. I cannot fault anything. it was my partners birthday and the day we were leaving and Pat & John gave him a bday card and bottle of wine, we got a Christmas card and a kiss on the cheek too. 100% recommend Crowndale, it is fantastic and one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. I didn’t manage to get any photos of our stay at the property but I got plenty from around Torquay (which was within walking distance)

Friendly welcome and wonderful breakfast. Very comfortable and the cakes a welcome addition to the welcome.

The room was not very spacious but for the price one could not complain. There is nothing else anyone could criticise.

what a lovely place, felt at home straight away, the hosts couldn’t do enough for us, added bonus was a slice of yummy home made cake for each of us, and it was our wedding anniversary they even left a card for us in our room, which was such a kind thing to do, breakfast was delicious and filling, will definitely return 👍😀

very clean wonderful room everything you needed .food good quality and plenty of choice . John and Pat very helpful with information about where to eat at night .We celebrated my husbands birthday while there and Pat gave my husband a card and box of chocolates , thank you .

one very small problem shower in our room took a while to get hot and flow of water slow .

Patsy and John were lovely nothing was too much trouble, and all the little touches, plenty of teas, coffee in room fresh water and milk in fridge every day, great breakfast etc definitely visit again.
