Air conditioning in the rooms would make the stay much more comfortable.

This was my second summer to stay at Holiday House. Last year I asked for a different room because bedbug bites covered my back the first night. Manager moved me to another room and all went well thereafter. This summer the same thing happened: bites on my back the first or second night. For some reason I stayed in the room without complaint. There were no more bites. Two mornings I had no hot water for a shower. And--not the establishment's fault--the lush grounds helped bring on an allergy attack. My review is mixed. I love much about the place but not the bites all over my back.

Lovely, clean and well equipped rooms around a nice swimming pool. Daily provision of fresh towels, free use of pool towels. Staff are very responsive and will try to meet your needs to the best of their abilities. A complete and tasty breakfast is one of their strong points. Tranquil environment.

Suggestion to update info on Booking.com on the accepted payment modes. Currently under “accommodation conditions”, as well as in the booking confirmation, acceptance of credit cards is stated, while in practice just cash or Mpesa are accepted.
