I think we just got an accidental lock out. If we weren't already very tired and traveling with elderly parents it wouldn't have been a problem. But in our case my parents were exhausted and so ready to get out of the car and lay down for a bit. It was frustrating in the moment but everything else about our stay was great.

The location was smack in the middle of our fishing destinations and local grocery stores. Very quiet neighborhood.

The twin bed had a head and foot board that was made for shorter people, but i was the shorter people at 5'-8" so worked out fine.

This was the first time we'd ever done anything outside of the traditional "hotel experience", and we were so very pleasantly surprised. It was actually like being in a home away from home. So much better than the usual sterile and predictable hotels we've come to know and expect. For 6 nights we felt like we had our own place that we could get comfortable with. The living room area was apart from the main bedroom, so there was no problem with my wife staying up to watch some TV while I was taking an early bedtime. The kitchen area had everything needed for morning coffee and storing leftovers from the day's experiences. The king-size bed in the main bedroom was super-comfy, and we had enough storage to put our things while we were there (though, to be honest, there were only 2 of us). The landlord left very clear instructions for us, so we knew exactly what was expected. We also got to see rabbits on the lawn one of the mornings we were up early enough for them. It was also close enough to main routes to/from Wasilla, so there was no issue with finding our way around.

I honestly can't think of anything we did not like.

Marla asked what we would like for basic breakfast-- and it was THERE! She and Brandi went above and beyond in providing CONVENIENT clothes washing facilities for us! This is a repeat visit, and we would stay here again in a heartbeat!!
